Repair issues

As with any mechanical device, the time will come when it needs repairs. Firman authorized service centers tend to be few & far between. I live in Clovis, CA and discovered that to get my Firman fixed I would either need to drive over 150 miles or pay a $150 dispatch fee. No one else in town would touch it because they can't get parts. So, unless you're mechanically inclined enough to troubleshoot your own breakdowns & then fight with Firman over parts, think long & hard before going with this b...

Absolute Waste of Money. Won’t Run

Had mine about a year and has less than 2hrs on it. Probably less than 1. Kept shutting off after about 5 mins. Then got to the point it was every 30 sec. Firman was easy to get ahold of and sent me a troubleshooting guide to determine the bad electronic part and get a new one on the way. By the time I got around to it, the generator wouldn’t start at all. The troubleshooting requires it to start. Probably just a bad coil but these issues are ridiculous on a new unit. Lowes sold me generator w/o battery, not operable.

Generator was received incomplete. It does not have a battery! It will not work without a battery. I have called Firman customer support three times over three weeks and still do not have the parts I need to run the generator. Buyer beware! Lowe's sold this to me via online for pick-up at the Katy store. It was boxed and made to look as new. I paid over $800 for a generator in preparation for the hurricane season and almost a month has gone by and still I cannot operate my firman generator!!!

Cuts off

Poor Quality generator and awful return/exchange policy for business owners that rely on generators. I recommend Harbor Freight for generator purchases. They will exchange the detected product instantly vs Lowe’s 2 weeks policy.
