Great alternative
Would RecommendThis are a much better alternative that using a galvanized lag bolt. The ONLY reason I have it four stars vs 5, is the screw requires a unique bit to install and uninstall. The package comes with the bit, but Lowe’s does not carry just the bit, you have to purchase a package of screws... in my case, I simply needed the bit to uninstall deck railing posts, I had to buy a package of bolts......

Would RecommendThese things will hold practically anything together. They come with there own applicator which is heavy duty not some cheap piece of junk that breaks or shears off the first time you use it. I personally use them on a bridge I built. They are great for holding the 2x6 to the telephone poles. They are self tapping and go in with ease. Cannot say enough good things about these.
