These screws require a special driver.
Would Not RecommendThe Headlok screws worked great for my application, but I hated having to buy yet another driver type. If they had made it a star drive, but sized larger than a deck screw driver, I could have covered that. As it was I was forced to return to the store, which of course had none in stock (except those included with a package of multiple screws). I ended up having to spend an additional $20 for a package of 6" screws, which I don't need, in order to get a driver for the three 8" screws that I need...

Would RecommendHas good anti-corrision properties, strength, and is self-tapping. Great alternative to using lag, or carriage bolts in many applications. Available in various sizes, and lengths. I used them when completing a light pole installation.

One stripped
Would RecommendVery impressive securing the boards I was using. Had 2 more to place and the screw head stripped. Had to get vise grips and take it out. Luckily I had 1 extra. It went in fine. Probably a bad apple screw. Could not find a customer service number to report it.
