Will burn your house down!

Got this as a Christmas present last year used it last season maybe 10 times. Turned it on today smelt plastic burning since the febo company wants to not back their pile of crap I decided to open it up myself the mother board in it literally wasn't strapped to anything wires were melted coming off the plug cord inside the unit right before the mother board. My 3 year old son was sleeping in the living with this thing about to burn my house down. Complete junk don't waste your money on it!

Expensive for what you get

First one had parts labeled incorrectly so we had to haul this beast of a box back to Lowe’s. It’s a total pain to put together. I wouldn’t say it’s difficult but it’s definitely not a one person job. The customer service numbers on the instruction booklet are both disconnected. So that’s not helpful. The fireplace itself works well when it works. I’ve owed this one day and the fireplace only adjusts in 5 degree increments and the thermostat reads the temp of the fireplace and not the room thus ...

Shuts off in less than 5 seconds

Pros: The cabinet wood is mostly solid and is beautiful & the fireplace lighting is impressive...while it is working. Cons: The top & bottom are connected by dowels and twisting mechanisms that I don't trust. The thermostat would shut off at incorrect temp & if it's supposed to come back on when room cools, it never did. After 24 hours, it would only stay on for a couple seconds when using remote power button. I used manual power switch to turn on & checked the Febo app to see if timer was on...

Perfect

We had very little issue setting this up got it up and running in 2 hours and that includes transferring all our stuff from our old stand, it is very sturdy and the heat function works great people have complained about the wifi being only 2.4 but most NEW routers are 2.4 and 5 so all you got to do is switch it to 2.4 which is what I had to do all and all great product

Very Nice - OMG it Stinks, put it together outside

I am in the middle of putting this thing together and the vile chemical smell that comes out of the box, then again with every subsequent smaller box is enough to make you double check what you just opened. My entire house stinks and I'm worried about breathing it in, not to mention my kids breathing it in. I had to stop putting it together because my nose is actually burning! It is so uncomfortable. Why on earth does it smell this bad? It literally smells dangerouse and toxic.

This entertainment center with electric fireplace is so beautiful and was so easy to put together. The directions state that it is a two person job, but I put it together by myself and I am a 60 year old female:))

Surround is nice... insert sucks

Put it all together. Plugged in the insert and it wouldn’t stay on. Tried multiple outlets... no luck. Returned just the heating unit. The new one stayed on for maybe five minutes and then shut Off and won’t turn back on And don’t even think about trying to call Febo... they’re out of business. I wonder why.

Won't stay lit

Overall the TV stand looks great but the fireplace doesn't work correctly with the app. Tried all the troubleshooting they suggested and it won't stay lit. Do your research on electric fireplaces before you buy!!

Do not buy

I bought this fireplace not realizing that it had to be completely put together.The manual states that it can be put together in 30 minutes using one screwdriver and the provided Allen wrench. Three hours later and with much frustration, it was finally together. The final product is very unsturdy due to the way it is engineered with all four upright pieces only connecting at one point with the top and the base. After finally putting it together, the fireplace unit would not work. I tried to call...

Missing pieces for assembly. Scratched in numerous places. What a mess. I dont recommend !

Great value - great fireplace

My son actually bought this for his house. I helped put it together. The instructions were not clear but other than that it is worth every penny.

Missing parts and company is out of business

Lowes did not publish my first review. This is a very nice unit. I looks nice in my living room, and I would recommend this to others. I would give more stars; but the company is out of business. The one year warranty is probably no good. The assembly was pretty easy though it took longer then 30 minutes with only a screwdriver. do your research

Although heavy this particular material still seems cheap. Heat isnt very effecient and the safety feature is a serious PITA if you have kids or dogs. Constantly turning it on as it turns off on its own when you get too close. I would return but its already assembled and does actually look nice. Hoping it grows on me over the winter. I would not recommend this particular item. I should have done more research.

Great Fireplace

This is a quality fireplace exceeding our expectations and gives out great heat! Very solid

No remote

Bought this OCT 13, 2020. No remote. Contacted customer service, Febo is no longer in business.so no remote and no warranty! Lowe’s should not be selling this product! who will honor the warranty?

Doesn't heat a living room, much less 1000 sq ft

We bought this to supplement our propane furnace. This won't even raise the temp in a 350 sq ft living room much less the 1000 sq ft it says on the box.

Top Not Secure

This product is ehh.. I would not recommend it and here is why. The directions say it takes 30 minutes to put together. HA! Nope... Not 30 minutes. Also, this is not sturdy until you do the last step. We thought we were doing something wrong, no... just not sturdy until the last step. Lastly, there is NOTHING securing the top into the front. there are screws and "twist" things that secure it in the sides and back, but nothing that secures it into the front. Love it!

I absolutely love this! We bought this in store and to upgrade our old fireplace.The fireplace is gorgeous! The only down side Is the C and D pieces were labeled incorrectly but if you look at pictures in the directions, common sense you know how they go! I would definitely recommend to anyone. Just pay close attention to the directions and tighten mantel at the end after top is placed on!

does not work

I was able to put this together by myself. It did take longer than the 30 minutes but it was fairly simple. make sure to put the piece labeled J on with the magnets facing outward (towards wall). after assembling it I plugged in the fireplace to find that it will turn on and with in 4-5 seconds turns right back off. IT WILL NOT STAY ON. We have tried alternate outlets, unplugging and re-plugging it etc. and nothing works. Not impressed at this time. Will attempt to contact their customer service...
