Great Qulity

Received the Duromax 12000hx in the box unopened and undamaged. Easy set up, nice quality, Break-in was simple. I apparently received an older version of the owners manual and did not have any mention of break-in but was able to find a revised manual online. Pleased thus far

XP12000HX Just started it up

I just purchased this generator and wanted to make sure it would start. After assembling the unit I needed to attach the battery cable. The smallest wrench that came with the generator was a 10mm. The bolts on the battery cover are 8mm so I had to get my own wrench to remove the cover. Not a huge issue but I thought it was strange a 8mm wrench would not be provided. FINALLY opened up the box and set it up today

finally opened up the box and set it up today. Just found the card to register. Waited will the electric guy put the breaker kit in and the plug for running the house on the generator. Working great so far.

Perfect for my needs

This generator was easy to assemble and came with great instructions. It also came with a full set of tools for assembly. This is big enough to run my entire house.

Overall Happy

We finally decided to buy a generator due to severe weather in Texas! I'm glad we did and although a bit loud, I'm happy with my purchase! It's really simple to use once you get the hang of it!

Bought this a couple. Years ago "just in case". Didn't even put it together. Well, this week "just in case" happened. A tornado went through and we lost power for 3 days. Put it together and it fired right up with ease. Kept 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers going with a LOT of meat. Once we got power back I let it run to see how long it would run with them plugged in. I’m happy to have this generator considering living in Houston Texas with possible hurricanes every summer. I hope I don’t have to use but it’s good to know that I have a generator I’m happy with.

Terrific Generator

I wish it had a 12 volt outlet. Other than that, it's been terrific!! So glad I purchased this generator and since it's an established company, I am sure I will enjoy it for many years.

Wish I purchased years ago.

Lost power for three days only a week after purchasing the generator. Ran it day and night until the power came back on. It was a lifesaver. All my food was protected, had hot water, heat, etc. Wish I purchased it years ago. Also found it was substantially quieter than my neighbors generators. Much quieter than expected. Worth every dime. No regrets.

Easy Set-up

It did not take my husband long to set up the generator. In fact the longest part was driving to the store to purchase oil to add to the generator. After following the instructions he pressed the start button and the unit started up the first time.

Good Piece of Mind

So far, so good. I used this on propane and was able to plug up the two fridges, freezer, and tankless hot water heater to test the generator - no problems - simple setup/instructions.

Generator runs great, made quick connect for household propane (500 gal tank) Absolutely need to change the factory spark plug to a NGK BPR6ES, IF RUNNING PROPANE it will not start on LP gas. Also will not run when in idle down mode when hooked to household set up but did on smaller tanks house regulator must be set to a lower pressure. purchased in NOV-23 and used several times in December due to storms here in western NY. Started and ran flawless.

Long Lasting & Worth It!!

This is our first generator and it has been fantastic so far! Living in the mountains where you have more frequent power outages in the winter or during really severe storms, this thing has been awesome! Our first run of the generator was after a really bad storm with super high winds and we were out of power for 18 hours. Great Generator for size and price!

While I haven't hooked it up to the house yet the generator itself runs well. The manual is pretty easy and straight forward to setup. The only real issue I had was the shipping there was a dent on the top of the cover which thankfully didn't make it through to the fuel tank but it came very close! It's very important to inspect the box and generator before you sign for it when receiving. That aside it runs quieter than the Craftsman generator my family owned for many years. Arrived on schedule. I assembled with the provided tools, added oil. It started right up with propane. I was impressed with electric start and idle control. I was happy with the plugs they provided, that was a surprise i had not anticipated.
