Great generator, horrible shipper

The generator is great quality, good instructions. I own several brands of generators and Duromax is the best of them. I only complaint is the shipping. The box was damaged, but did not seem extreme. When I began assembly there were a lot of dents to motor housing, generator housing and frame. Nothing that effects the operation, but the shipper was awfully rough to damage the frame. Great generator

So happy I brought this generator..nice looking easy to. Move and start..very sturdy also..needed a generator that my wife could use during storms when I'm away..easy push button starts ..moves around my gravel driveway with ease

Awesome

This is my forth generator and my last . Comes with tools and plugs ends. Easy setup.

Great for whole house backup power

This is my second DuroMax generator. I upgraded from 10k to the 12k. Only issue I ever had was the propane feed line freezing while powering the whole house and running the AC. Gas power had no issue. These are loud.

Started 1st pull

my son bought this generator and left it outside in the box for over a year it was covered with a tarp and we just started it up yesterday on the first pull, we were very impressed that it fired right up!

It works!

This generator works! quick start, great instructions. it has not fail me yet! The dual fuel is a great feature - I would say must have.

Overall happy

Overall the quality fit and finish to this point has been good. Instructions are clear and thorough. I was a little disappointed it did not come with oil or a grounding wire. It also requires you to remove The battery cover plate to connect the battery however the supplied wrenches didn’t fit those bolts. With all that being said it is a very nice unit. Loads of feature and more that enough fuel capacity and power to run most of my home.

No Start

I just picked this unit up today, assembled it and tried to start it, it just backfires, going to contact support and see what they say, will update this review.

Instructions

First generator and during assembly, as a newbie, I was a bit confused. The grounding wire is the only thing left and I will be contacting your company to ensure it is done accurately. Otherwise, I believe I will enjoy owning it! Let you know as soon as it gets colder!

Hurricane Ian

I had to use my generator for the first time, during and after Hurricane Ian. It work above and beyond what I hope for. I supplied power to 5 of my neighbors at the same time. We had lost power for 6 days. Thank you DuroMax

Awesome Buy

I’m bought this right after hurricane Irma in 2017. I have SO many neighbors right now as we recover from hurricane Ian who are flabbergasted by the fact that my house is one of two in the neighborhood with power. We wired it into our control panel in Jan of 2018 and on 9/28/2022, we used it for the first time. It. Is. Worth. The. Penny!

Power and features

I bought the 12k dual fuel after seeing my neighbors Duromax generator. The features and the power to support almost anything I want to use. Having the dual fuel is really nice when the power is out after a hurricane gas is scarce, so the option to use propane as well is huge.

12,000KW

I bought the Generator about a year ago but have not had the opportunity to use it till Hurricane IAN took out the power for our house and I’ve had this 12,000 running for about 15 hours a day and the only thing it needs is oil so make sure you keep checking oil level… the Generator is designed to use a little oil….But it has powered 3 Iceboxes (Fridge) , A/C and Fans also TV, I turn A/C off when I want to turn on Hot Water Heater… but so far Great Product… Wish y’all made a20,000 KW

Dual fuel but doesn’t like propane too much

Only had this a couple of weeks, just got it for future use in case of power outages to keep the freezer frozen and a few piddly uses around the house. Thought I’d run it on propane when I needed it for short periods, but propane just doesn’t work too well. Duramax help line is good. When it initially wouldn’t start they helped me troubleshoot it over the phone and sent the part needed to get it running. Finally gave up on propane and filled it with gasoline and it runs great now. Tech help sai...
