Will not start, brand new and will not start, not very happy with this product!!!

Engine trouble before first use

I bought this a few years ago and never actually needed to use it. When I tested it, it wouldn't start, even after battery charge. No spark, so had some sort of ignition issue.

Great reliable product

The propane dual duel option offers reliable functionality without having to replace fuel. Starts well. Effortlessly. Reliable generator. The battery may drain and go bad if not started periodically.

THIS WAS MY SECOND CHOICE BUT GOT AN INCREDIBLE DEAL ON IT AND PURCHASED IT. EASY ASSEMBLED, FIRED UP EXTREMELY EASY, RAN GREAT HAVE NOT HAD IT UDER LOAD YET BUT WILL SOON.

Fantastic Power

Purchased ahead of large winter storm. Love the dual fuel capabilities and the price was fantastic! Came with plugs, tools and everything needed to get started except oil and fuel.

Buyer Beware

Generator just delivered. Issues I have. Product Issues: 1. Battery defective out of the box. Neither generator nor my charger will charge. 2. Called customer care number provided. On hold for 90 minutes and gave up. Came here to provide rating while my mood was fresh. 3. Battery cover had one cross threaded bolt. 4. Shipping braces not bolted to engine. XP12000HX

I used my generator for the first time Dec 22, 2025. I hadn't had a chance to assemble it prior, so I had to do that in a cold, dark garage with only a flashlight. The assembly was straightforward and easy to do in spite of the conditions. I like the automatic starting sequence. Once you tap the start button it cranks for about 4-5 seconds, rests for 4-5 seconds, and tries again. So far it's everything I wanted. Bought this to run my cabin. Runs well on propane and gas. Easy to setup and connect. Runs long on gas than propane.

Solidly Built and up to the task

I have owned this model for over a year now and have been thoroughly impressed with the build quality and durability thus far. I do winterize and start it up come hurricane season and have never had an issue with start up or storage. Would buy again.

I purchased this for my homes backup power supply and have had opportunity to use it a handful of times. Easy directions for assembly and use. I do enjoy having the choice of fuel for operation and I can now safely store hours of same for the next emergency. The peace of mind is priceless.

Love this generator!!!

This generator is great. Love the Dual Fuel. We have a lake cottage as well as our primary home. I have both houses set up for the 50A 240V back-up. At our primary home - I have a direct propane connection to our house supply. I have (2) 40lb propane tanks at the lake cottage. I decided to go with the propane connections because it is clean and the fuel won’t go bad. In the past (with my old generator) every time I got ready to use it - the gas was old and the carb needed cleaned. Not ideal ...

Great Product

This has got me through many weeks of power outages during 2024 hurricanes. Never had one problem with the generator.

Exactly what I was looking for

Just got the XP12000HX and am looking forward to getting it up and ready for home backup. I own another Duromax and very happy with it.

Have two of them

We own two Duromax 1200 Duel Fuel. Excellent generators. Use them for our food truck.

Lowers the house when needed

Does everything it needs to! Hooked up to a 100lbs propane tank and when there’s an outage ..we are back in power !
