Great for precision router work!

I use this for detail and precise router work along with my 4000 series Drexel. You can do most hobby type jobs. An example is router joint on a jewelry box, or precise hinge inlets. Great quality!

Controlled Routing

Easy to use for small Router requirements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good tool for small router requirements. You have to be careful not to route any surfaces with paint or glue, like plywood, as they will dull the tool quickly.

Held its own against larger plunge router

Some setup issues but slow and steady

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first the instructions could be a bit clearer when your setting it up... remember less is more and the manual should reflect a clear setup then use of the product. And some lube to the rails as they tend to stick when plunging down or returning up. I cut some letters out of plex glass with a small bit and it worked well but as with anything you do test it out on some scrap.... So the deal is, you need a cutter with very little wear...

I used the plunge router guide to cut out door hinges. As I moved it across the edge of the door it would drop and cut deeper. There was no way to support it over the 3 1/2 inch cut.

A Must Have!

I knew that it would come in handy for jobs that required this specific type of tool, but now I'm realizing all of the different possibilities in our crafting and woodworking as well. It's of good quality, and it's easy to use and adjust. I would recommend it to any do-it-yourselfer or woodworker.

Not as handy as i hoped

It was difficult changing bits while the Dremel tool was in the plunge router attachment (PRA) . The shaft lock button was very difficult to press when changing bits. A good tool to have on hand for small jobs

Handy accessory

Was nice to have a router for the jobs that a regular router would work for. Easy setup installing the Dremel tool.
