Nice addition to your Dremel tool.

I purchased this accessory to finish the edges of a project I was working on where I couldn't use a regular router. I had to read the instructions to attach my Dremel rotary tool properly but everything went well from then on and I was very please with the results.

Great product

A very handy tool to do jobs that a large router will not work for.

Horrible Design

This is a waste of money. The router is very poor quality and does not operate smoothly at all. Very hard to accurately control the rotary tool while carving. Do not buy this or accept a free one from a friend; even if it is free it is not worth the hassle!

Great value for light molding

Overall good value for soft woods and light cuts. The plastic tool support bracket flexes when the cutter encounters tough grain, such that the cut is irregular, even when using the edge guide. The depth stop release button interferes with one of the edge guide clamp screws, required shortening screw by 1/4".

Does A Great Job At A Lower Speed

I used this Dremel accessory to route a saddle slot in an acoustic guitar. It worked perfectly for this project and I would highly recommend it to anyone needing to do small precise routing jobs. It attaches directly to most Dremel tools and is simple to use. The clear base allows you to carefully inspect your work as you move along. I Use this for small box construction detail  This little tools works wonders I originaly owned the first generation router base  but when I upgraded my dremel I purchased this base. its a little large but the clear base makes it way easier to use. I was in the market for a Plunge Router for my wood projects. I build wood dog beds, wood wine racks, tiki lamps. My latest project is a 11"x14" shadow box. As with all Dremel products, the quality and durability of this item is no different and is an excellent tool for which it was designed. The cost was more than reasonable considering all the features that this item has; you can also make easy circle cuts using a simple method with a nail as the center point and adjusting the "arms" for the diameter of the circle. Used for some detailed inlay work, and was quite impressed with the unit's plunge function. Depth remained quite consistent throughout process.

I got a bad experience with it

Thumbs up with the Ok!

I used the router attachment on a project for the wife. It worked perfectly to finish the edges on the top and base of a stand and creating openings in a 3/4" wood panel for electrical sockets. This attachment makes my Dremel even more useful. Plus, it was a lot less expensive than buying a dedicated router. Dremel Rocks!

best thing i have bought for dremel so far

very nice product for the money.Not used it yet but have attached my dremel 4000 6/50 to it and felt just fine looks nice.
