What Customers Are Saying
The Dremel MM485 Carbide Flush Cutting Blade received mixed reviews. Many users found it effective for cutting through various materials like wood, drywall, and some metals, praising its speed and durability. However, some reported the blade dulled quickly when used on tougher materials like steel, rebar, and plaster. A few were disappointed it did not outperform cheaper non-carbide options. Overall, the blade appears suitable for general-purpose cutting tasks, but may not be the best choice for heavy-duty or prolonged use on very hard materials.

Would RecommendDremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review. I tried the MM485 blade on several applications and found it to be clean cutting, strong and durable. Dremel has provided me with this attached in exchange of the most honest review of their product. My son had punched a hole in the drywall in his room ( who knows over what). It was a small job but it worked quickly with easy clean up. I was Able to make 4 straight cuts in the drywall with no sweat.

Great blade
Would Recommend• Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review. I tested the blade today on my lawn tractor. The hitch plate on the back had gotten bent and I was unable to straighten it out. It's approximately 16 gauge steel. The two sides had curled up. Still haven't figured out how or why, but I need to cut them off in order to use a new spreader I bought. I was amazed. I have a Dremel Velocity VC60. It cut through the steel like it was butter. The two cuts were about 2 inche...

Good cutting blade
Would RecommendDremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review. I used this blade to cut a hole in dry wall for an electrical box. it cut like a hot knife through butter!! Tried to cut a fence staple but it had a little trouble with the harden steel in the staple. Cut easily into a piece of Corian.

Works well in wood
This blade cut well through oak, pressure treated lumber, and of course pine. I cut a piece of 1/4" copper tubing and it didn't cut as fast or as smooth. It wore the carbide coating off the blade. The test pieces of wood were only about an inch wide and 3/4" deep. So, 4 small cuts wore the blade out.

Carbide is Tough
Would RecommendDremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review. It is a tough blade with fine carbide teeth and universal fit. The test cuts through aluminum, PVC, and wood were quick and smooth.

Excellent Blades
Would RecommendI bought these in hopes of cutting the hub off of a 2" cast iron drain line, they did not disappoint me. The drain line is under the floor of the garage, about 2' - 3' inboard from the edge of the slab, very limited area to work in. Being able to use my oscillating tool to cut out the ruptured portion of the line was pretty much my only option due to the restricted space. This blade went through the cast iron with very little effort, made a very nice clean cut. I had to make a couple of more cu...
Perfect for my work in range repair.
Would RecommendI had a older Godin range (made in France) where the the original electric elements were no longer available. The elements plugged in to a three connector ceramic block. I had to cut out the steel bracket holding in the block (very confined space inside the oven) to install a new element from a Zline range. The tool made it simpler with excellent control. I need a blade to cut ceramic tile in the kitchen to make room for the new OTR microwave. These blades made quick, straight cuts and I finished the job in no time.
Excellent Product
Would RecommendThe cheap carbon steel blade that came with my multi-tool wore out very quickly scraping paint off of a single wood window. The first carbide blade out of this pack is still going strong after eight additional windows. Well worth the extra cost for me.
Not worth it for tile
Would Not RecommendWorking a transiting between rooms and needed to cut the old ceramic tile. 30 minutes in and I'm not even halfway through one 12" tile. 1/3 of the blades are already dull. Maybe a Dremal rotary tool would work better, but I would not recommend the oscillating blade for ceramic tile.
