Seems to work

I received this product from Lowes while we were still evacuated for hurricane Florence and I have not had time or opportunity to do a proper review. We have a small terrier that likes to escape our fence. It does heep her from going through the fence. I can’t really say what it would do for a larger animal. Product seems well made and strong.

Good for a place with soft soil

This was hard to install because we have very hard rocky soil at our home. It would be great in a place with softer soil. Second, this is not going to prevent smaller animals from entering and I would even say a medium sized animal in some cases. Small animals are my problems and they could get through this.

Effective and easy to install

I was easily able to install this to discourage neighborhood animals from makimg themselves at home in my yard. Great for blocking gaps and preventing digging (looking at you, dog next door). I was careful to install without damaging the finish, so as to prevent rust. I plan to buy more of this for other trouble areas in my yard. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Great invention

This product was used by us on a fence that the dogs kept going under. I applied it in two different ares and it worked. I tried the small one since our dogs are small . If you have large dogs , diffidently go with the bigger ones. This is my second review on this product.

So far so good

I have been using it for a week now and so far so good. Have to see how it holds up to the snow. My dog has had no issues with it. Time will tell.

Sturdy

They are well built but very hard to get into the ground. Unless you dig out the whole area your putting them in you will have a very hard time especially if you have a lot of trots where your putting them in.

Brilliant Product

I installed the Dig Defense immediately upon receiving them. They installed in no time. They go far enough into the ground so that if you have a "digger" they will quit once they hit them. One really nice thing is that you hardly notice them. Certainly more attractive than a piece of lumber or cinderblocks. I have attached a before and after pictures.

What a great idea

I think this product is a really good idea for people with pets at like to dig.It’s generally pretty easy to install cuts really nicely if you have a stoner something in the way you just have to use a pair of tinsnips.It’s nice how the interlocks with a chain-link fence to really give you a deep kind of protection so the dogs don’t take much more to get under the fence.I think I need DIY we should be able to install this Dig defenseTo help protect animals I would recommend this product to a frie...

Great idea for keeping predators out of my chicken

Very handy, easy to install (simply push or tap into ground with small hammer) keeps animals such as raccoons and skunks from taking my chickens. They just don’t dig deep enough to go under the barrier.

Dig Defense Small animal barrier

This is a "why didn't I think of that" product. It is well built and super easy to install; just hammer it into the ground. There is a YouTube video that is very helpful in deciding which size/model of barrier to use. I am installing the small model under my front porch to keep animals out as currently digging is not a problem. I believe this product will work well for the purpose it was intended for.

Barrier

This is great idea and very effective for keeping the dog from digging under our fence. I choose to place them at an angle inward so that if .....when he wanted to dig he hit the obstacle sooner and was thus deterred. I also found it was better to post these after a rain as it left the ground softened foe ease of placement. This worked great for gaps under fence!

I received the 4 pack of the small/medium animal barrier to review. It is 32 inches wide and 8 inches deep. There are 2 inches between each spike that you hammer into the ground. I needed to place these in areas of my current fence line that didn't touch the ground. My smaller dog had escaped a few times by pushing under the fence. I found these barriers to work great for my needs. They were easy to weave into my metal fence and I just hammered them into the ground. They did the trick and ...

Best deal in a long time!

Stainless steel and easy to put in the ground. That is the best feature of this guard. I recently installed a fence in the backyard for our dogs. Needless to say there are a few places that got up a little off the ground than what I wanted. These guards really fit the bill. I got the 2 inch ones because I have small dogs. Can't go wrong if you have a digger,

Not satisfied

If I was buying these to use I would want them to be the same contour of the chain link fence. They are too noticeable being straight pegs in the ground.

Sturdy Product

I went to the Lowe's website and checked the price=$44. Sturdy, high quality, wish I had these when my pups were smaller. We added these to keep our neighbors dog out of our yard, so far so good! Easy install-rubber mallet push them right in the ground

Only use for Privacy Type Fences

I have a aluminum picket style fence and it doesn’t work in keeping the dog inside the yard they can still go through the pickets above the barrier, I see it working very good for the privacy style when the dog starts digging under the fence. This product would work great for this type of fencing. I gave the product a 3 star rating only because with my style of fencing it only stops my dog from going out at the bottom of the fence, not right above the barrier.

Less than good quality

The pieces are well constructed - welded. How ever installation in hard soil proved poor. The first section of four was install-able with some effort. The second through fourth bent quite easily and could not be installed without serious bending of metal. I would not recommend this below ground fence for hard soil. Regular garden soil perhaps, or soil that has been thoroughly soaked beforehand.
