What Customers Are Saying
The tool is effective at quickly and efficiently removing old paint, stains, and coatings from wood surfaces. However, it requires careful handling as it can easily damage the wood if too much pressure is applied. Some users reported issues with the tool wearing out or breaking, and a few had safety concerns. Overall, the tool is effective when used properly, but it demands a learning curve and caution to avoid potential damage.

Would RecommendThis tool is amazing. I spent time researching ways to remove solid stain and was thankful for all of the reviews on this. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy to use to remove the thick solid stain from my deck. I used my junky angle grinder on a test patch to see how this would work. I then fried the motor of it but purchased a new 11amp one that expedited the process. I first checked every single deck screw to countersink or replace as needed. Once you find the groove of keeping the whe...
Dangerous.. almost sent me to the hospital!
Would Not RecommendFirst off, I'm a mechanical engineer and have a home machine shop and I can't believe this device is on the market. I guess it would be fine if you're 100% sure that you will never hit any obstructions like a screw head at or slightly above the surface of the finish you are removing. Sure, it works great at removing oldest but if you happen to snag a screw head holding the deck down in my situation, the blade exited the device and went through my pants and embedded in my shin causing a pretty ...

Diamond scraper
Would RecommendWorks great strips paint down to wood fast. It will eat into wood very quickly, so use caution. Keep level, and watch out for nails. Nails seem to be the only thing that wears it down. I’ve stripped around 600 square feet and it’s about half worn out. I’m using it on old western cedar siding, so there are a lot of nails.

Works exceptionally well, but can be dangerous.
Would RecommendWorks amazingly well. Took off 4 coats of Behr Deckover (worthless product) when NOTHING else would. But be advised.....it is a very DANGEROUS piece of equipment. The blades are unforgiving and my ultra careful husband lost a chunk of his thigh.

The Diamabrush really does work!
Would RecommendI tried power washing, using a stripping product, and renting a drum sander to remove a thick coat of deck overcoat and none really worked very well. I read some reviews about the Diamabrush and thought it was worth a shot. It was unreal! It took that coating off with no problem. Highly recommend!

Deck Paint Stripping
Would RecommendThis thing works and works well. Forget the anemic chemical strippers and scraping tools because this grinder cuts off old deck paint and oil stain in a hurry. Takes it back to bare wood for re-priming and paint. I would have given it five stars except for the fact that once the diamond flappers are worn down there is no replacing them and you're throwing out a fifty-dollar tool. I am a retired machinist and have used cutters for many years with replaceable inserts. They could make this to...

works as intended
Would Recommendused this to grind old paint off ceiling beams. Leaves a rough finish but followed with a 80 grit flap disc and was able to move quickly. great tool. only did about 300 SF before needing a new one though.

Removes the worst paint guaranteed
Would RecommendThis grinding head is absolutely incredible. I had to strip 80 year old paint off of my house siding and this thing took it all off, even the thickest areas. This tool doesn’t get affected by heat or buildup like sandpaper does and it will remove any paint without fail. It also lasts a long time. One issue is that the head can skip around and it can gouge easily if you’re not careful. Make sure you hold it completely flat to the surface. It’s best followed by 24 or 40 grit sandpaper.
Great deck stripper
The diamond brush worked well at stripping deck paint/stain without gouging the wood. I used it with a angle grinder with a 5/8" spindle. The deck was less than a 1000sqft so i didn't have to buy two.

Diamabrush 4 1/2 grinder attachment
Would RecommendNot only is this Diamabrush USA made, but it is quality and durable USA product. As long as you move the grinder & wheel both in the same direction of the wood grain or board length, you will have an amazing prep surface for staining wood areas. Yeah it’s about $50.00 but you’ll spend more hours and buying more products using anything else to strip stain or paint on wood surfaces. Be sure to sink in all nails and screws before sanding as if not followed will most likely cause your diamabrush t...
