What Customers Are Saying
The wood crates are generally well-made and versatile, with customers praising their sturdiness, stackability, and suitability for storage, organization, and DIY projects. The natural wood look is also appreciated, and customers enjoy the ability to customize the crates through painting or staining. However, some customers have reported issues with the quality and construction, such as uneven slats, splitting wood, and inaccurate dimensions. Overall, the crates are considered a good value for most customers, though improvements in quality control and product descriptions could address the negative feedback.

Would RecommendI bought 2 of these crates before. At that time I was remembering the milk crate that my father used when delivering milk in the '50s and '60s. I wanted them for my VHS tapes. The 2 wasn't enough so thought I'd buy some more. The other reason I wanted them was for grand and great-grandchildren. My idea was to hang them on the wall at different heights for the kids. The plan is still there but it will have to be different than how I thought. With the few that are left, I'm going to use for my ...
Poor Quality
These are made of rough sawn slats stapled to pine boards. We are going to use them till they fall apart and then replace the slats.. They are not worth the 13 bucks my wife paid for them.

AVOID VINYL COLLECTORS
Would Not RecommendNot 12.5 inches wide as advertised. Had to drive all the way back to the store just to return it (20 minute drive).
Sides and Bottom are super flimsy
Would Not RecommendThe two ends of the crate are high quality, nicely sanded, solid wood. The sides and bottom are made out of a very thin wood that hasn't been sanded smooth and that honestly looks like it would snap in half if I put anything heavy in it. The size is good, but that's pretty much it.
A slat was when arrived home. Easy fix with glue and clamp. Use as basket on closet shelf to store small stuff. Work great. Added felt pads t prevent scratching.
Excellent value, well made
Would RecommendMade in the USA! Well worth the money. Exactly what I was looking for... a lot of junk out there, a lot of almost what I needed. This was perfect and I picked it up same day.
Model CRT-03260/Homegrown Wood Products
Would RecommendThis is the first time I have ordered and used this crate. Great quality material, well put together and made in the god ole USA. Ready to paint or stain, whatever your preference is.
Poor construction
Would Not RecommendBought eight to make bookshelf for my. Half of them had slats break before we got them home. We returned them all and when to a craft store and got much better quality crates and for less.
Not the same quality
Would Not RecommendI purchased 6 pine crates by Homegrown Wood Products in my neighborhood Lowes store. They are very simple, yet nicely finished. My store does not appear to have them anymore, so I thought I'd order some online. The ones I ordered arrived on time and in good condition, but they are not manufactured by the same company and the quality is not nearly as nice, for example the side edges are not smooth and, overall, the crate itself is not finished as well. I'm disappointed Lowes didn't stick with...
Don’t do it
Would Not RecommendNot like the picture, and the dementions listed are NOT accurate. Says 11” and they’re actually 12.25 - 12.5
Perfect
Would RecommendI purchased the crates to make a bookcase for my grandsons room.
My shopping
Would RecommendI love ordering on line. I have never been disappointed with the product quality. The convenience is great. That makes the experience great!!!
Cheap
Would Not RecommendNothing like the picture. The wood came apart from the staples and the wood was splinted. Don't waste your money. Very cheap quality.
Great for any occasion
Would RecommendI make these locally and can paint and add any graphics for any occasion or holiday.
It's useable but cheap quality
Would Not RecommendI bought a bunch of them for my project, for the most part it work but the quality is really bad. I would suggest you do to home deport or michaels. Their crates are only 1usd more expensive but the qualities are way better than these crates from lowe. I probably will replaces my lowes crates eventually
Why do they staple the label into the wood?!?!?
Would Not RecommendSeriously! My crate now has an indent from one staple; the other staple was into a knot and I could not get it out, so now there's a hole where the knot was. I don't understand why manufacturers are so dumb.
Poorly assembled
Would Not RecommendDadoes for slats were mis-cut, making sides uneven. Some slats were stapled too close to the edge, causing them to split.
