Solid, Stackable Crates for Decorative Storage

I bought 4 of these boxes to use in our nursery as storage. They are perfect to stack and fit children's book. I'm going to do some light sanding and paint them.

Nice crate

The edges were secured with staples only, not screws. It was less stable than it could’ve been. It sanded down beautifully and took stain well. I then sprayed it with a polyurethane sealant.

Quality crate, that gets the job done. I wouldn't load it up with a lot of weight but its durable.

Perfect for DIY projects

I absolutely love this project for staining or painting on. I made a DIY bed frame with these crates and they hold well. Be weary that sometimes a staple will be sticking out of the wood on some of the crates & that could be a spot you may want to nail over for some extra stability.

Worth buying.

I was pleased with this crate. It is solidly built and sturdy. I plan to decorate it and finish it to make it more than just a wood crate.

Great for storeing kids books

Great pre-built create for a kids project to store books. The crate did need a little sanding before painting, but only took about 3 minutes.

Searched google for a crate to store my vinyl records in and this was listed as an option. Should have looked at reviews first. Not wide enough to hold an LP. Handles of crate were sanded down and finished well, but the remaining slats were not treated at all. Definitely needs sanded down to avoid splinters and could use paint or staining, but I assume that's why it's so inexpensive.

Dimensions are far off!

I picked this up today in a Lowe's store. Both the shelf tag AND the allen+roth sticker on the crate list the dimensions as 18"x 14.75. Yes, 14, not 12 (see photo) however the crate is actually lust under 12.5 externally and less than 12" internally. Here on the website, the dimensions say 12.75 - which is still not quite accurate, but I can't explain why the labels at the store all say 14". Waste of my time as they are too narrow to hold vinyl records (14" would be perfect) and I now have to...
