What Customers Are Saying
The Delta shower cartridge received mixed reviews. While some found it easy to install and effective at stopping leaks, many customers reported significant quality and reliability issues. The cartridge frequently started leaking within a short period, often requiring multiple replacements. Concerns were also raised about water flow, temperature control, and overall product quality. Despite a few positive experiences, the majority of reviews suggest this is an unreliable product that fails and requires repeated replacement.

The cartridge worked with no leaks unlike the knock off I tried.

Finally!
Would RecommendAfter trying several imitation cartridges to save money, the shower handle felt flimsy, and the water never seemed to get hot enough, even when sent to maximum.. After two tries, I finally broke down and bought the Delta OEM part. The shower is working like brand new again! It pays to go with the original replacement even if it costs more. Also, I had a very difficult time removing the cheaper cartridge because it broke in pieces when trying to extract it. Lesson learned.

Dripping shower
Would RecommendI had a dripping shower, I looked on line to see how to change it . I went to Lowe’s, they had the cartridge in stock. Removed the old cartridge and installed the new cartridge. Easy to do. No more issues. Thank you Lowe’s

Is NOT a replacement for the RP19804
Would Not RecommendWent in to purchase Lowes part# 118503, Delta part RP19804 but the "salesperson" couldnt find it despite it showing they had 5 in stock. He said this was the only thing he had that would work as a DIRECT replacement. Wrong! This is too large to fit and I wasted half a day going back and forth with a house full of guests waiting for running water. Lesson learned. Lowes is NOT the place for plumbing expertise.

Be careful about Lowe’s-
Would RecommendThe product is perfect replacement for a delta shower/tub single style handle/valve. Lowe’s on the other hand sells defective appliances and doesn’t follow through to stand for it and make things right. 3+ months delivered broken washer, have never followed up. I have tried several times to get help but they never contact me back. Horrible. Not shopping there anymore. Will try to spread the word as much as possible.
