What Customers Are Saying
This diamond grinding wheel is an effective tool for quickly grinding and smoothing concrete surfaces. It is described as durable and aggressive, able to remove tough materials like old tile adhesive and paint. However, it does create significant dust, so using it with a dust shroud or shop vac is highly recommended. Some users noted it can leave grinding marks if not used carefully, and that it is an expensive tool. Overall, this is a powerful and effective concrete surface preparation tool, but users should be prepared for the mess and take proper safety precautions.

Would RecommendOutstanding for removal of old thin set/ grout on demo projects in tile floors. Would definitely get the guard that hooks to your shop vac as it’s extremely dusty and nasty. However it moves right along in cleaning of your surface. Made this repair much much easier and faster than other typical methods.
This Dewalt wheel worked very well grinding down my garage floor to prepare for an epoxy floor. It was fast and easy, not requiring much muscle, the tool does most of the work. I used the wheel with a 10 year old Dewalt angle grinder. It took about 6 hours to grind off a layer deep enough to remove all stains, grime and oils in a larger 2 car garage.
This thing is merciless
Would RecommendI had been trying to remove old thinset to add new tile after a remediation and moisture-proofing. I purchased one wheel for cutting, and it wasn't what I needed. The grinder wheel that came with my grinder really wasn't impressive. Back breaking work. So then I got this thing based upon the reviews. This thing is an angry, vicious, and merciless piece of hardware. It ate the thinset unbelievably quickly and made a hard job very easy. That said, I strongly recommend a respirator and someo...
Worked good
Would RecommendNot a pro but certainly a very experienced hobbies. Had about 275 sf of basement concrete needing to have the sealant removed before porcelain tile. If had to do over I would have bought 7” grinder, wheel, and dust shield. This time I bought a Makita 4.5” grinder (did Ok), and makita diamond cup. Only used weight of grinder (no pushing down on grinder) and Mikita cup clogged often (oil based sealant) and required GoofOff cleanings (Xylol). Not sure why, but Makita cup tired out quickly....

Saved Time & Trouble
Would Not RecommendPurchased this tool after trying to chisel off concrete left behind a removed tile floor on a 2 story balcony. Passed this over with a small corded Hitachi grinder and got it smooth enough to apply an asphalt primer to install a self adhered modidorf membrane. Excellent product.

Great on roughing up porcelain
Would RecommendI am laying new tile on top of old. I read that the old porcelain tiles needed to be roughened up first. I tried using an angle grinder with a composite grinding wheel and the porcelain surface just blackened and smoked. This diamond wheel did the trick. It burrowed right into the porcelain with such speed I was able to roughen up the entire bathroom in only 10 minutes. Wow.
