What Customers Are Saying
The product has a mixed performance. On the positive side, it is praised for its compact and lightweight design, making it easy to handle and use for small jobs. It is also considered powerful enough for tasks like cutting pipe, pruning trees, and installing cabinets. However, many customers report issues with the saw frequently cutting out or stopping, even with a fully charged battery. Some find it underpowered and unable to handle tougher materials without stalling. Overall, the saw seems suitable for light-duty, small-scale tasks, but may not be reliable or powerful enough for more demanding applications.

Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is a great little saw! Versatile enough to handle most smaller jobs around the house. Lightweight! Weighs only 3 lbs. With the right blade, it can cut most metals, wood, and plastics.

Great for one handed cutting.
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some pvc to run and grabbed this to take it for a test drive. It cuts through pvc and wood just like it's big brother but it's a lot easier to operate with one hand. It is still balanced toward the blade. In my case this was extremely useful to help with the cutting I was holding pipe with one hand the saw with the other and cutting down for most of the job. Overall this is a great go to tool for light use in tight quarters. Why the 4 sta...

Better than expected
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't expecting a ton from a 12V Recip Saw. I have the 18V version and didn't think there was any room for a less powerful tool. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried this out doing a lot of different tasks. Cutting through 2x4s and pipes, branches and things like that. Where this tool shines is if you cut alot of conduit or other types of pipes. The smaller lighter size holds off fatigue and with its hand hold position over the blade I...

Small but mighty
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I took this tool out of the box, it was surprising hefty for the overall size. It feels great in your hand, and has a knobby part on top if you need to grab it with the other hand. The blade lock mechanism is very easy to swap blades fast. It also uses universal blades that many other brands use, which is a huge plus when you need more. Keep that up DeWalt. Some other details that really make it a really nice tool are the light near ...

Great Maneuverability
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compact size and light weight of the 12V MAX reciprocating saw make it significantly easier to handle than the 20V MAX, full size version (especially when using it with one hand). It's significantly easier to get into tight spots, or hold up over your head for extended cuts. There is no loss of power or performance with the 12V system either. Very pleased with the tool.

Phenomenal one hand saw!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the marine industry we use a lot of wood coated with fiberglass or resin. This saw chews though it all. I love how it almost like a hot knife through butter when cutting. The trigger has a nice control pull to it so you’re not going all over this place. For the price and versatile this is makes it a must have. Almost no hole to small with this beast. Only thing is I wish you could use the 24 volt battery with it, but a phenomenal little saw ...

Great lightweight compact saw
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a good size tree limb fall down in my yard, I grabbed my reciprocating saw, loaded a blade and went to work. It cut through no issues whatsoever. It was super lightweight and comfortable to hold. I was able to complete all my cleanup on 1 tick off the battery. The DeWalt reciprocating saw will definitely be one of my go to tools in the future!

A Must Have!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've recently gotten this one-handed reciprocating saw, and I don't know how I have gone so long without one of these. So far I have done some kitchen remodel work, plumbing repair, and door replacements with it. The compact size and the light weight is great and perfect for use in tight areas. It has plenty of power to get through everything that I need it to, anything prom PVC to wood to nails. I love being able to have one hand free to suppo...

Nice compact tool
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this tool for the past week at work, Im very impressed. It fits well in your hands and is very comfortable. Its very lightweight which makes it easy to cut above your head, even one handed. Its also compact so it fits into tight spots, and easily fits in between stud spaces. The motor has plenty of speed so it still cuts quickly.

WOW!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, one word review title... that was my summary after using this little tool. My tools are, typically, 18V, 20V and up and I've avoided 12V tools because they seemed to be cheap. This definitely IS NOT the case, with this tool... First thing I noticed was the balance of the tool. I had my wife use it for pruning our larger sage, lavender and shrubs - stuff far too big for the hedge trimmer and the pruning loppers and she was able to use...

12 Volt Reciprocating Saw.
Would RecommendThe 12 V reciprocating saw is an incredible work tool. It’s lightweight makes it very useful for almost every cutting task. It’s only a little brother to the full-size reciprocating saw, but it is a tiny superman for what it does. I highly recommend this tool.

Great for one handed work
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 12v Reciprocating saw is way more ergonomic than the previous brushed version. It's got plenty of power with the new brushless power plant. The Ballance seemed to be a little nose heavy just holding the raw tool but after inserting the 12v 3amp hour battery and cutting the closest thing to me being a PVC pipe, the weight balanced out and cut perfectly. The fixed shoe worked surprisingly well on pipe. I thought it would jump around but it w...

Great tool when you are tight on space
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came in the mail right when I needed to cut some PVC from underneath a kitchen sink on one of my rental properties. I would normally use a pvc cutter but it was so tight that I couldn’t even turn it to get it to cut and since I didn’t need the cut to be precise, this fit the bill. This is a perfect tool for those little jobs don’t need the power of a large sawzall or when you are working in tight spaces. The blades are easy to change b...

Great Lightweight Workhorse
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this recently and immediately put it to work, it made short work of some cutting I needed that I was too tight of a spot for bigger saws. It did everything I asked and more! After that job was complete I used it to cut some holes or outlets in some drywall I was putting up. It was great for that as well!

Very surprised by the power
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My very reciprocating saw was a DeWalt corded used for remodeling my first house. Not a professional but a regular DIY-er tackling jobs around the house. I then purchased the 20v cordless reciprocating saw for work outside the house, such as breaking down pallets for pallet projects. Then I picked this 12v up. I was skeptical at first but it sure surprised me. For small quick cuts here and there, this tool has been great. It is light and ...

Great Compact Saw
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little saw! It's nice and light weight so you can use it one handed, but can also use it two handed if needed. For being a 12 volt saw, it still had all the power that my 20 volt saws have and I did not notice any difference when cutting. Just used it to cut apart an old pinic table we are getting rid of and it cut through 2x4s, 2x8s, and nails with no issue at all. Other than the size and weight, I did not notice much of a di...

12v is more than enough for most jobs
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this tool for a few days and I'm glad I have it in my DeWalt arsenal now. I will admit I was skeptical of 12v tools because I thought they couldn't perform well or wouldn't provide quality results but this has changed my mind, it's definitely more convenient than my 20v two-handed reciprocating saw and works just as well. I thought the shape was unusual and maybe the weight would be awkwardly balanced but the extra weight towards ...

Compact Saw, Oversized Capabilities
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact reciprocating saw is a great form factor and will allow any user to access locations that a normal reciprocating saw wouldn't allow. It fits easily into one had and the lock and trigger buttons can be easily operated as well. The saw feels a little top heavy, not a surprise given the components are located above the hand. The 12v compact battery does little to counterbalance this weight, but provides more than enough power and r...
