Powerful, compact saw

Paired with a 3AH battery, it will replace my full-size recip saw as my go-to from now on. I will say it is a little more susceptible to vibration if the shoe isn’t solidly against something. Great Compact Saw!

It's my first 12v product, I usually use 20v but this has already come in handy at work with some tight spots. It's not too big and still has a lot of power. It doesn't vibrate at all even at full rpm. I'm in love with it!

I used one handed with ease. It's well balanced and pretty powerful for its size. It's a must have in the plumbing trade. I'm absolutely will use this daily and add it to my go to of tools.

It’s a monster in the palm of your hand!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s start with size. For a 12v saw that can be used with one hand and have control is amazing. Your not going to be cutting large things with this but for the small spaces to have in the bag or on your belt this is the go to. It eats throw pvc pipe and wood. Metal was a breeze too. This will be an every day carry for me and move to the side my 20v saw. That is just to big and heavy.

Amazed by the power in a little package

Cordless reciprocating saw

I am very pleased with the power this saw has. I cut down and cut up a dozen leads on my very tall Areca Palm Tree. I would recommend buying a second battery with it so you don't have to stop and wait for recharging. It is a great saw for the price .

It's a DeWalt power tool....

What can I say? I love this brand. I have so many of their cordless tools. Not disappointed by any of them. Never had a issue, and I plan on buying more... Yay power tools!

pointless

Recharged 2 batteries all new. Used saw for less than 3 minutes and battery died. Battery 2, same Recharged both batteries and tried again same was barely able to cut a 1 inch aluminum channel in one battery charge. Pointless. Tool is also awkward and unbalanced. Very poor design.

just what I needed

I wanted something to do small work with. It's perfect.

Incorrect design

DeWalt, I would love to get a 12v saw but can you design one that looks like the 20v compact saw.

Great little superstar!

Just used it to install large island cabinet. Cut a circle for duck work like a jigsaw. Plunge cut the electrical outlet holes in the base of the cabinet with the short fine tooth blade that came with it. 12 volt does it well! I also used it to cut out a stairway with 35 2 x 2 oak spindles very quickly using one hand on spindle and the other holding the saw, push and pull....very smooth and light weight...really love it!

Powerful

DEspite its small size it is powerful! Motor seems heavy duty and cut thru 1/2 inch bolts with no problems.

Nice tool but not 20v max

Appeared to be a quality tool but I returned it because I thought it was 20 volt but it is 12 volt. I will be smarter next time!!!

Great saw

I already have full-size corded and cordless recipro saws but I wanted one I could use one-handed and I couldn't be happier with this one. I've used it for several small projects and it works great. Probably not as fast as the big ones but being able to hold the item with one hand and use the saw with the other outweighs the speed. The stroke isn't quite as long as the big ones and the plate that surrounds the blade doesn't pivot, but I haven't found those to be issues at all. I'm totally satisf...
