Inexpensive yet effective

Like another couple reviewers, I can't understand that bad reviews. Fortunately, I saw the good ones and went with them. I have a large, tall wall in my garage with ugly exterior stucco that I wanted to smooth out. I was using MH Ready Patch (which works fine) but is 3 times more expensive than Dap Presto Patch. I switched to the Presto Patch and saved hundreds on this job. The only difference I can tell between the two is that MH Ready Patch is just a tiny bit thicker. But not worth spending 3 ...

Material was good for the joints between the 2 pieces of wood.

White patching compound

Is a great product if used inside. Not so great outside, even though it is labeled for exterior use. If use outside, must paint as soon as dry. If not painted immediately and a rain shower occurs, you will have to redo it, even if patch was dry it will wash off. Needs to be made more rain proof.

Works very well

We were looking for Dash Patch to cover up the holes left when we took up the carpet and pulled out the tackles strips. This product worked perfect. Easy to use and gave a smooth finish. Easier than joint compound on a wall. Happy to have it when we do the other rooms.

presto patch hard to use

had to add water as it was too thick and then took days to dry and then had to sand grrr use the cement based floor level in the flooring department days later mixed thin and was dry in a day and no sanding

Great product

Used to fill cracks in plywood prior to painting with porch paint. Easy to use, dried quickly and very easy to sand smooth. Only complaint was unavailable in small containet....had to buy way more than needed.

Works great

I used this product to fill some holes on my exterior concrete foundation walls. It worked beautifully on both large gaps and small divots. It sands easily with 150 or 220 sandpaper and holds latex paint very well. I also used this product on a deck handrail that had a hole in the wood due to rot; again, the product worked beautifully, and even held the solid color deck stain. Door replacement

I used Presto Patch where I had a 3/8th in. sheet rock meeting a plaster wall. I built up and feathered toward plaster and it came out great. I am a DYI'er and I couldn't be happier with this product. It went on smooth,dried nicely, sanded easily and when I finished with joint compound it looked great.

Mine was damaged- returned

The seal on mine didn’t work and it ended up unusable. Props to Lowe’s team for the easy return. Ended up getting a local product because there aren’t any Lowe’s near my house and returning it. I’d assume if it’s not damaged it would work great!
