What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews. Some found it effective and easy to use for small indoor repairs, praising its smooth application, quick drying, and ability to hold paint. However, many reported issues such as the compound being too thin and runny, sagging or dripping when applied, and taking a long time to fully dry. Some also experienced mold growth after storage. The consensus seems to be that the product may work well for some applications but has significant limitations, especially for larger or outdoor repairs.

Good patching product
Used it around exterior of a newly cut out door opening. I did not want moulding around it, and didn't want the hassle of mesh and stocco, so used the compound to fill in the framed areas, couple of layers at a time, until it was level with the stucco wall. Once painted, cannot tell the difference. Looks like door was original to the house. It tools like drywall mud, a bit more elastic, cleans up easily. It does take time to dry, so let it do that before applying another coat, and it will droop ...

Would not spread, smells awful
Would Not RecommendSame consistency and aroma of feta cheese. I returned it, the clerk said it smelled like a corpse.

adheres poorly for a particular usage
Would Not RecommendAt least if one uses a plastic type (fiberglass core) window screen as a backing for covering some void, for example where the the eaves rotted out, when you apply the stuff, it pulls back off easily in spots as you spread, which is quite aggravating. To get the job done, you have to let a first pass dry, then go back and cover the places where it pulled off. Maybe metal screen would be better in this regard, but it is also harder to work with and get stapled into place.

Good filler
Would RecommendI bought this to patch a couple of holes in a wood floor. It worked well for this. It was cheaper than other products for the same purpose. I tried staining it and it did not take the stain well. It did not dry as fast as I thought it would but overall I was satisfied with this product.

Basically water
Would Not RecommendBought it for a last minute home project that I needed complete ASAP. only to get home and it's basically water. Spilled so much trying to mix because the part that isn't water is basically rock solid. Huge waste of money and disappointment in a usually solid brand

Not quite as advertised
Would Not RecommendThis stuff sort of worked, but it's so soupy you could not apply it with a spatula as shown. I could apply it with a paint brush, and then sand off the globby mess once it dries. But no way would it firmly fill even a grape sized vertical hole with out running out, or sit up on a putty knife like the images show. It behaves more like a plaster of paris than a spackle or patch. A good %20 of the material had settled to the bottom so thick it could not be agitated again. In my case, I was us...

Mold grows on the product
The product grows mold. I used half a bucket with success. On a second project I opened the bucket and it had mold growing all over it! Shouldn't the product have chemicals added to prevent or minimize mold growth?

Damaged in shipping
Despite double boxing and bubble packaging, the bag was ripped in shipping and product was everywhere in inner box. Instructions were not legible, so I haven't tried to use what product was salvageable yet.

I really like this product.
Would RecommendThe pre-mixed Presto Patch is a great product. (Note the powdered form is not rated for exterior use). I used this to patch rough masonry for an outdoor BBQ. It goes on real easy, is easy to smooth out, and sands well. I finished sealing it with Flex Seal and it made a smooth beautiful, waterproof, surface. Note that it really needs to dry overnight to be sandable -especially if put on with much thickness. It is semi-water resistant after curing. I highly endorse this product.

Works great!
I don't understand the negative reviews, I found this stuff to be very effective. I'm using it to patch masonry for an outdoor barbecue and it works great! Easy to apply, made for exterior grade, and sands well. It takes a few hours to dry, but that's okay. I'll seal it up with some Flex Seal spray and I'm sure it'll be fantastic!
