Dry Tine not correct!

I had a ceiling leak due to a damaged roof vent boot. I had to repair 2’ x 3’ area, depth if 1/2” max I am writing this review so others are aware dry time is much much more when u have a large repair area. Even if done in layers. I do however like that no mess from any sanding i did. I in the past have been covered in sanding dust so that is a definate plus. Just be prepared it will take time

the bucket contained what I expected. it performed as I expected

Shrinks too much!

I wasted money with this. This shrinks more than other joint compounds like ProForm. Not only does it shrink more but if you use joint tape, it will not adhere well and will start peeling away or bubbling. With proform I was done the first time. Just sand and you are good to go for painting. With this junk I have to do multiple coats of the compound and now have to redo my tape as well.

Great Joint Compound

DAP Lightweight Drywall Joint Compound is a great product. It is easy to use and tells you when it's dry for sanding or applying another coat. Goes on pink and dries to white. This is definitely the best out there.

Quite impressed

Just bought my 2nd gallon to drywall the laundry room. Ready to paint after 2 applications instead of 3. Primer doesn't just sink in flat, it looks like the rest of the wall.

it's fine for finishing layer only

it's fine for finishing layer but otherwise don't it will leak out of any normal vertical wall joint or crack in the ceiling.. and it shrinks too much when drying

Dries fast not too much dust. Need a few coats to feather.

I like that it goes on pink and dries white. Also it is very easy to sand

Avoid at any and all cost

I needed to repair several cavities in my son's walls. One area where I had installed a new piece of drywall was approximately 1 inch by 8 inches by < 1/16th of an inch deep. Another area was approximately 5/16 inch deep by 1/4 inch wide by 4 inches long (V'd crack). I was attracted to the product because of the advertized low dust due to my daughter in law's respritory issue. More like spackle than traditional mud

I was a little surprised when I opened this. It's pink like the spackle that lets you know when it's dry. It goes on easy and is sturdy, not falling off the trowel easily. It may produce less dust, but that doesn't mean no dust by far. For a DIY'er like myself it's a good product.

Worst joint compound on the market

It runs down vertical joints. It shrinks at least 50%. Doesn't dry completely hard. I'll be writing for a refund. Made my repairs take twice as long.

Works Great.

Easy to use. Dries fast. Very little sanding dust.

No as good this year

Used this product in the past worked as described. Just purchased another bucket, it slowly oozes down the wall, too runny. Scoop it out of the bucket on to mortar board and it fills in the depression in the bucket. I guess you can say it is self leveling. Have tried and tried to work with it, has cost me time on this project. Going back to normal compound without the gimmick color.
