Would Not RecommendWe have had several Cuisinart toasters and other Cuisinart products. This toaster is not up to our expectations based on the latter experiences. The handle is not substantial feeling and the toasting options are not clear (a bright light needed to see options). Toasting was uneven. I advise choosing a higher end toaster from this maker or another.

I can toast bagels now!
Would RecommendI,ve had a very trustworthy, though small toaster all of my life. The slots were narrow and I,d have to cut my bagels in 3 or 4 slices to fit them in. My new toaster is wonderful. It has slots wide enough to handle a bagel cut in half. It also has a button on the side that says bagel. I pushed it and popped it in and got a beautifully toasted bagel!

Reliable and attractive
The bagel and thaw buttons move this simple toaster into the 5 star category. No more dried out toasted bagels. No more cold spots on frozen toaster pastries. We use the toaster daily and appreciate how attractive it looks on the counter. The only regret, it’s not a “cool touch”.

English muffins don't toast
Would Not RecommendI bought this toaster to replace a 30yr old toaster that needed to be turned all the way up to toast an English muffin. Unfortunately, I have to do the same with this new toaster. Also, we have noticed that you often have to try several times to get the pull down lever to engage before it activates the heating element, plus, oncw the toaster actually decides to work, the outside gets very hot (burn risk). Don't buy for bagels!
Would Not RecommendA toaster that has a setting for bagels should only toast the bagel on one side. It should also have details on which side it will toast. This toaster toasts the bagel on both sides just like a normal piece of bread. Had I know this I would have bought a different brand. Not impressed although it is metal and not plastic.
