Good price and easy to use - recommended.

Chlorine dissapates overnight

I've been using the Clorox shock plus bags for years in my above ground pool (approx 1200 gallons) with excellent results. Using the same amount from these plastic containers, the chorine level is back to zero the next day. The pool is in the same covered area with the same water level as before. I puchased a gallon of liquid pood chlorine to supplent the remaining Shock plus, then will switch to anpther brand.

BUY THIS, NOT THE 6-IN-1 VERSION

This product does everything you expect pool shock to do. I have tried this 4-in-1 type and the (more expensive) 6-in-1 version, and this product does absolutely EVERYTHING that the 6-in-1 does. The extra cost for the 6-in-1 version is a complete waste of money.

Great shock

This is a very fast dissolving shock. Just sprinkle it around the deep end of your pool and it dissolves before any particles get to the bottom!

Chlorine shock

This product does what it says.

This item does not dissolve in water very well. I like to dissolve my pool chemicals prior to putting them in. I have a vinyl liner and I prefer to keep granular chlorine from sitting on the liner to help prevent damage.

Shock treatment for the pool

I prefer this product over the standard thin plastic bag that many other chlorine crystals come in. The big plus is the container itself, it is sturdy with a screw on cap. The thin plastic bags become brittle over time during extreme temp changes and easily crack or tear.

Excellent product

One container gave chlorine coverage for my 8,000 gal pool. Followed directions, chlorine levels accurate.

misleading product

product is not a shock it does not kill bacteria when i bought your product i thought i was getting shock like hth shock which kills bacteria now i must go return it

great product

I quit buying my pool stuff at leslie's pool supply. get better products for cheaper.

We put 10 bottles in our pool when opening it this year. It did not do ANYTHING.

Know your Cyanuric Acid (CYA) level before use!

This contains sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione to shock your pool and is effect at that task. However it will raise your Cyanuric Acid (CYA) levels. The higher your CYA levels, the more free chlorine you need in the pool to be just as effective. By using this product on a routine bases, CYA and the amount of free chlorine you need begin to run away higher and higher. It happened to me with this product - when you get to that point, a.k.a. Shock Plus

We began using this product four years ago after not being happy with the results liquid chlorine was giving us. This product works much better and we have been using it ever since. It's as simple as adding one bottle into our pool per week and it stays beautiful.
