Would RecommendI've been trying to open my pool for weeks, and couldn't get anything to get rid of the algae enough to even be able to start. After reviewing what seemed like 1000 items, I came across this. That day I ran to Lowe's and picked up a 13 pack. Within an hour of it being put in our pool, the green was gone! It even cleaned the sides and bottom better than the normal chemicals we use in the Summer. I will never use another shock again.

Would RecommendThis is by far the best shock I have ever used. Had a very green pool on start up and using half what I would normally used produced superior results, clear in 2 days. This was the first Clorox pool product I have used and I am now definitely going to try their other products.

Would Not RecommendThis Chlorox Shock Plus is not a good pool shock product, it leaves a lot of undissolved material on the bottom of the pool, plus it does not seem to have as much chlorine as the Pool Essential shock that Lowes carried for years, it was actually being improved, leaving less undissolved material after shocking. I prefer the bottle packaging for ease of use. Another aspect I like about this product is the actual shock is more granulated than powder. The XtraBlue Shock we use along with Clorox' XtraBlue Chlorine Tabs. The XtraBlue Shock keeps everything else in line as we use it bi-monthly along with the XtraBlue Chlorone Tabs we use weekly.
