I followed every instruction to the T on prepping this sand. All Summer Long, My pool would turn green. We backwashed regularly filtered our pool for eight hours per day. Great Pool filter media been using for 3 years

I've been using this same filter media for over 3 years and works great. You do need to do a lot of backwashing before having it flow into the pool or you'll end up with grey water.

Makes the water cloudy at first

It will eventually do what you need it to but waiting for the cloudiness to clear up is a pain

I read the mixed reviews and after having no other choices available when I bought this i was very skeptical. But I took heed in what everyone had to say n I learned from their mistakes. Rinse is the key. I put the sand in a 5 gal bucket n rinsed emptied and rinsed continuously for about an hour until it was almost clear. Garbage

I repeatedly backwashed and rinsed my filter but ended up ruining my freshly refilled pool. By the end of the day my pool was just as murky as Myrtle beach. I ended up replacing it with regular sand which cleared up my pool in less than 8 hours. Garbage product, it should be pulled from the shelves. I will attach images of the sand I used to replace it with for cheaper.

followed all instructions and put in a brand new sand filter. could not get the green tint out no matter what we did. messed with the ph and did not have extra filtration at all. super cloudy. we went from clear water to gross.

Horrible product

Tried this crappy excuse for pool sand this year. I have never had to use anything other than stabilizer and chlorine to keep my pool crystal clear and balanced. THIS product has continuously sprayed out into my pool even after backwashing and rinsing. Turned my water green. NOT from algae. Put our old brand in and the pool has cleared up in three days after backwashing this crap out of the new sand five times. Spraying out green. Do not use this unless you want a whole lot of headache.
