I went to Lowes to grab pool sand and seen this, grabbed it without looking at reviews. (my fault). This stuff is the absolute worst. I backwashed it for 10 mins and started filtering to the pool. immediately started to cloud up. deposited small powder that was somehow making it through the media. Over the course of a week I vacuumed and backwashed multiple times with no luck. Had to do a complete water change and clean the bottom of the pool and remove this product and go back to Palmett...

Awful

This stuff clouded up my pool and I've added clarifier and flocculant and it's still cloudy as milk. Now I'm going to have to change out my water and get new sand. Total waste of money and lost time enjoying my pool. Who would think you have to read reviews to see if pool sand is ok?! Clorox should pull this product off the shelves.

Just get regular pool filter sand

Do not waste your time/money on this! I followed the instructions after putting it my filter housing, backwashed for what seemed like eternity, then let it sit....then rinsed. It still turned the water cloudy. After a week of using it it still wasn't right. I emptied the filter housing, cleaned it out, and replaced this garbage with HTH Pool Sand. After one day the water has cleared up completely. Avoid this product. HTH sand works like a champ. This is a solution waiting for a problem.

Do not use this

Please, please, please do not try this sand. I made the mistake of not reading reviews on this product before I tried it. My thought was - Lowe's and Clorox - how could it be bad. I replaced the sand in my filter and after a week, we can still not swim in the pool. Now I have to remove the sand and put in 300lbs of normal filter sand. Fo yourself a big favor - believe all of these poor reviews. It is disappointing that Lowe's would carry a product with such bad reviews.

It dose not work and it will cost me all of time and money to clean my pool. It clouds the pool and put sand in the and you can follow all the directions and is still dose NOT WORK!!!!!

Just Don't!!

We uncovered our pool and was happy to see it was only a hint cloudy. We had purchased this, rinsed and put into filter. Within a few hours my water was basically milk. I have balanced everything, still milk. I'm draining and putting regular pool sand back. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS CRAP!!

Water clear sand in pool

My water is very clear after changing the sand in my filter to Clorox sand plus. I didn’t rinse the sand before adding it to my sand filter just backwashed and rinsed briefly. The only issue I have is sand is getting into my pool I have to vacuum it every other day. I would recommend if it wasn’t for the sand getting into my pool.

Do NOT buy!

wish we would have read reviews before purchasing, Lowe's would not accept for refund and the Clorox customer service refund form and agents just keep sending more questions to answer hoping I will give up and not keep trying to get a refund! Stick with regular silica sand at half the price!

Do not buy

Instantly turned my pool cloudy and stained the surfaces. I'll need to replace both water and the sand to fix this, at a cost of hundreds of dollars. This product should not be sold and does not work.

Trash

We bought 3 bags of this. Followed the directions perfectly. It still clouded the water in our pool. Will have to drain the pool, rinse and scrub this mess out and will other pool sand. I hope I can get some sort of refund.

I don’t think this grain works for sand filter.

I thought this Clorox sand would do a better job than the regular silica sand so I carefully put it in between the silica in my filter, but as soon as my filter runs sand comes into the pool because its grain is too small. I rather this has the same grain size as the silica sand!
