Waste of time and money

We bought this sand less than 2 weeks ago and our pool remained cloudy the entire time. We took our water to have it tested at a pool store and they told us our chemicals were fine and asked us what kind of sand we had. We told them we had the Clorox sand that we were trying something new but apparently the Clorox sand is not made to pick up tiny particles in the pool which left our pool cloudy. Didn’t have to use as much as some of the other brands.

Junk.

Was the worst decision i every made pool turned green not form algae just this junk followed directions on bag now I think I am going to have to drain it.

Clorox filter sand plus is a man made product that uses half of the required natural sand. I have used it from pool supply stores previously and have now purchased it from Lowes at 1/3 the cost .

I did not use this due to it being over priced!

The only thing I liked about this product was that it was the only product available for purchase "right now". However, after realizing the price was WAY over priced, I returned it immediately. 25lbs at Lowe's was $25. 50lbs at a local pools store was less than $10. If you do the math, it is a no brainer!!! 5 bags at the local pool store, less than $50; 5 bags at Lowe's, greater than $125.

Terrible product!

I have a 35,000 gallon pool. It usually takes 6 bags of pool sand for my filter. I tried this product this year, for the first and last time, because it was suppose to do the job better with half the bags. Thought it would be easier to handle and being Clorox I trusted the brand. Big mistake. Huge mistake. I have not been able to enjoy my pool this year because all I have done is clean and test. I have wasted so much money on chemicals and all along this product was my problem.

Horrible quality DO NOT BUY

This stuff is horrible. i have a 7600 Gal pool and have backwashed it twice using aleast 1/3 of my volume of my poo; and then even removed the sand and hand rinsed in a 5 gal bucket the best i could, backwashed and rinsed in filter again and im still getting fine brown silt all around on the bottom of by pool near and around by discharge port. I bet I have spent $100+ on adding water back into pool. all my laterals are find no broken parts on pump. this stuff is just poor quality. might be fine ...

Do not buy this product.

Do not buy this product if you are going to try and use it with an Intex brand sand filter. I have tried various sequences of filtration with it, but no matter what, when the filter is started a cloud of this Chlorox muck is blasted out into the pool for about 3 seconds every...single...time.

Clear Water.....Backwash and Rinse a Must!

I was worried when reading some reviews for the product but was desperate. The pool was filling with water, I was setting up the filter, and I didn't have enough sand. I initially thought I needed 55lbs (bought 50lbs of #20) but needed closer to 80lbs. I picked up a bag of this sand and added it to the existing #20. I mixed the sand together by hand so I didn't have 2 distinct layers of the different sand. I ran the Backwash cycle for 2 to 3 minutes until clear. I then ran the Rinse cycle for...

Seems to work

I switched from an Intex paper filter to an Intex sand filter. I added on bag of Clorox sand to 50 lbs of regular pool sand. So far so good. It seems like it does a great job. I’m looking forward to a summer pool season without wasting time on paper filters.

we wasted $75 buying 3 bags of this. If you are using an Intex sand filter for an above ground pool, do not buy this. We have backwashed four times now (even ran for several hours), rinsed and it still shows in the yellow on guage. It also shoots sand into the pool. Will try and get a refund from Lowes because this is ridiculous. Have to start all over now.
