there was quite a few large pine cones & sticks in the Long leaf Pine needles sold in bags at Lowes.

ADEQUATE

Of the ten bundles I bought, six were quite wet and drippy. Considering their claim that the product was cleaner than others, I did not find that to be true. I had a pretty good stack of large pine cones and sticks. The bundles were tightly packed so I was happy with the quantity.. Last year, I bought about 40 bundles from another box store that is very similar. I will try them again to compare. I generally go to Lowe's because of their customer service and pleasant environment but I will try...

Horrible. Just expensive compressed sticks, pine cones and almost disintegrated pine straw. Don't waste your money. Buy the bales where you can touch the pine straw.

Many pine cones

I purchased 7 bundles of CleanStraw yesterday. Straw was fairly clean except for many, many pine cones. Rough count would be 50-60 six inch long pine cones. Straw was in good shape, but disappointed in the amount to trash.

Extra time to remove pine cones & sticks.

I purchased 13 bags. Why is it called cleanstraw? The bags had tons of pine cones and some of the sticks were pretty big, enough of them to fill at least 3 empty bags that the pine straw came in. Not happy having to pick it all out while putting down the straw.

Too Much Debris in the Pine Straw Bag

I HATE writing bad reviews, and will usually just skip the review. But you need to know the bags of pinestraw had way to many pine cones and sticks inside the bags. So disappointing.

Not as described

This was a waste of money. It contained pine cones and sticks. For the money, wheat straw will cover 10 times the area.

It is not clean straw!

It was marked as 99% clean which was not credible. Each of the 20 plus bales contained multiple pine cones and sticks which I had to remove as I put the straw down. I had three large trash bags full of this material.

Poor quality

I wish I had read these recent reviews. I had used Cleanstraw in the past with no issues. I bought 2 bags today and was very disappointed, there was a lot of sticks, large pine cones and non pine straw organic matter. What a waste.

A Pine Tree In A Bag

A good purchase when you don't have any pine trees in sight.

Only buy if you have to

I bought 50 bags and all was loaded with very large pine cones and sticks in the middle of the bales. They advertised technology is used to separate and make the straw clean…well, the technology doesn’t work . One bale had 11 six to seven inch pine cones. None of the 50 bales were clean as advertised (I am not exaggerating)…my guess is that they don’t have technology other than filling dump trucks and shrink wrapping on an industrial scale.

Long Needle Pine Straw has nice color BUT there were very large pine cones and wood chunks in the bag, so the name "CleanStraw" is inappropriate.

Purity claim is misleading.

I liked the material being bagged. I stored it in my garage until this past weekend.
