I like cascade platinum but not as good as my last

I have been using cascade platinum for years the new box does not clean the copper bottom pots like the ones I used before anybody know why I have tried to contact Cascade with no luck ???

Awful odor

Stinks up the whole house with a very sweet perfume type odor. Really unpleasant. OMG - just make this stuff unscented!

Terribly strong lingering smell

The smell of these tabs is terribly strong! I still smell it after running my dishwasher through 2 regular cycles. I have 2 pods left from my original purchase but will NEVER use this product again.

Cascade

I recommend trying the capsules used to clean the Cascade dishwasher.They really perfectly clean the dishwasher from scale or other dirt in hard-to-reach places.Leaves a pleasant smell after cleaning

Overwhelming scent

Regardless of whether or not this cleaned my dishwasher, the overwhelming scent was unbearable. I don’t equate a chemical smell with cleanliness. This product gave me a headache; a clean dishwasher isn’t worth the suffering.

Overwhelming perfume smell, doesn't go away

I'm sure this cleaner works well - I trust Cascade and use Cascade detergent. BUT this dishwasher cleaner smells horrible. It is a strong, cheap, perfume-y smell that is overpowering. I have since washed several loads of dishes, but the perfume smell is still there. Has it ruined my one-year-old Bosche dishwasher? Will the smell over go away? Consider me completely dissatisfied.

Scent too strong

I am now trying the dishwasher cleaner for the first time. Honestly the smell is overpowering even with the windows open. I also thought the directions were not specific enough. I haven’t a clue what cycle has no prewash. Took a chance on light but does it work better with or without heated dry? I’m disappointed.

Compltely unhelpful

I bought this product, got home, read the box to double check it was septic safe (the Cascade Gel Detergent we use is). I could find no information on the box, went through the webpages several times- nothing, I had to download the chemical Safety Data Sheet- STILL NOTHING. I've wasted 20 minutes of my time looking and still I don't know if it's septic safe or not. It's going back. Tell people if it is or isn't, not telling them is like you're trying to hide something.

Love them

I love these. I found these when I moved into my old place because the dishwasher though it wasn’t super old had not been well taken care of if and was in serious need of a deep cleaning. Stunk so bad on opening package hadto throw it out

Having allergies we are very sensitive to scents. Just opening the package it reeked so badly that it had to be thrown out. When will companies realize that scents are very annoying to many people. As a PhD chemist, I don't see what the problem is in just having a product that has the citric acid and the surfactants would be. I really wish these

I really wish these weren't so expensive. They're made to be used once a month for upkeep. Says to use two if needed for hard buildup... I'm sure this cleans somehow, I have a portable/tabletop dishwasher living in a mobile home doesn't give me the luxury of having a full size washer..which is what these are made for. These little dissolving pacs are recommended for once a month use, just place 1 pac in the main dispenser and let it do the job! Best for Covid Survivors with sense of smell loss

The dishwasher cleaning pod left a very strong fragrance, an overly sweet smell. Washing the machine with vinegar and then baking soda, through a half dozen cycles, has not removed the smell. Subsequent airing of the machine for 48 hours did not remove the odor. I then tried running the machine with soap and one glass. The odor was so strong in the glass, it was impossible to use. I called Cascade. They suggested running a cycle with vinegar....They said they will continue to look into it...

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love cascade dishwasher tabs for cleaning the dishes so I was excited to try this cleaner for the dishwasher too. I don't think you need to do it often but sometimes the dishwasher definitely gets build up and stale water in it.... so it makes me feel good to know it was cleaned.

Awful

This cleaned my dishwasher fine, but the smell is so overpowering the machine smells like a bottle of perfume broke inside it. The smell will not go away, and it's leaching into anything plastic I wash. Never using this again.

Overly Strong Fragrance

The fragrance was so strong it was sickening. I had to open several windows in our house to clear the air. I then ran an empty cycle with no detergent, then wiped down the walls of the dishwasher (still reeked). I will throw the remaining pods away. Please consider making a fragrance free version.

Where are the Directions on the package? Huh?

I also reviewed the outer box directions, the single package directions and could not find any information on what cycle to run my D/W for using the cleaner. Huh? So I had to come to this website to find the information, which is not contained on any of the packaging. Huh? Here it is: "Simply pop it into your detergent compartment, and run an empty cycle". Terrible, leaves dust for weeks!

I used this dishwasher "cleaner" to reduce film and buildup in my dishwasher and it made things so much worse! I ran an empty extra rinse cycle TWICE after using the cleaner, and still there is a dust/film coating on ALL my dishes after every wash! I have to rinse everything my hand after. Terrible product.
