After Odor

We had to purchase a new dishwasher as the after odor chemical smell was unbearable. Not recommended at all.

Great Cleaner

It's a good thing I did not read all the negative reviews about this product before buying and using it. I just completed a cleaning cycle, and the stainless steel inside the machine is sparkling clean; the racks are spotless, and the filter is clean. The only smell I get when opening the door is clean and fresh scent.

Using on a brand new dishwasher from day one

Bought a new dishwasher. New lines, greasetrap and I really enjoy using 1 per month. The dishwasher is brand new so I probably don't notice anything like in front of me or in the grease traps but you know it's there and it's a very refreshing smell and very clean dishwasher so your dishes are getting washed and a clean dishwasher all the time. I would give it five stars if I knew more data other than the last 6 months

VERY TOXIC SMELL!!!!!

The scent in this product makes me physically sick! Every time we used it, it left me with a headache and a bad taste in my mouth! THIS STUFF SHOULD BE BANNED! By all the reviews we've read, you should remove this product as it's a safety hazard! It is the responsible thing to do!

Problem

Recently purchased a package of Cascade Platinum. After the cycle is complete and I open the door, a good portion of the pod is stuck in the dispenser. So my dishes may or may not be clean.

Horrible lingering fake perfume odor

Had to select a star, although this doesn’t deserve any. Used once to remove limescale, and lingering fake perfume will not dissipate the interior of the dishwasher or the entire house. Ran 4 high temp cycles to wash out the perfume but it lingers and is impregnated into the interior of the dishwasher. Entire house still smells 2 days later. I can taste the perfume when I am in the kitchen. I only place clean dishes in the dishwasher, so please don’t tell me it is the food in the filter that ...

Horrible smell

This was recommended for my dishwasher brand. I am so sorry that I cleaned the dishwasher now because the smell is horrible and can't get rid of it. Disappointed in this cleaner.

Perfume

Used it and it got rid of the small amount of lime scale on the rack rail but the smell is too strong. I don’t need perfume in my dishwasher.

You just lost me as a customer because of Spanish only commercial.

White streaks on glasses

I bought cascade platinum because I had no problem with regular cascade dishwashing pods. The original did not make my glasses have white streaks that don’t wash off but the cascade platinum did. I have to get a new set of glasses. What’s in the platinum that causes that. I noticed it with finish pods too that’s why I went with cascade. I should have stayed with the original formula. It washes all the other dishes and pots excellent.

Good product, misleading advertising.

This does a great job and makes the washer smell nice as well. But I must say I REALLY object to Cascade’s advertisements that suggests washing every day saves water. It does not, as you will still hand wash items that should not be put in a dishwasher. Inaddition, every day washer use uses 7 times the electricity over once a week, as well as 7 times more Cascade! awful product

Can't stand the fragrance of this stuff it gives us headaches. Threw out the other 2 pods after using the first one. Will never use it again. We don't not need our dishes to smell like other peoples laundry. We have run our dishwasher 4 times to get rid of the smell and we still have it. We only hope the scent/residue it left will not make us physically ill. Going back to using "Lemonade" koolaid as recommended by our appliance repairman.

Do not use! Strong scent will linger!

This product has an overwhelming scent that is difficult to remove. I wish I had read these reviews before using it. I really regret introducing this terrible product to my dishwasher. Not only did it make two levels of my home reek of the scent with windows open, it also triggered my asthma. The only saving grace is that I finally read reviews so I was able to spare my dishes from being ruined by this product. How use the cleaner?

What cycle should I run the cleaner on, and how often should I clean it with hard water? Does that matter? With no cleaning cycle.

Plastic or paper

We are trying to get rid of plastic- put in cardboard and I would consider buying again

Horrible experience with this product. I can't get the smell out of my dishwasher and it leaves an odor on my dishes if I use it -- which clearly means I'm ingesting this perfume if I eat or drink from them. The smell makes me sick to my stomach even to open the dishwasher. I can't even use it. And NO -- vinegar, baking soda, airing it out, running empty cycles -- NOTHING WORKS. This product has ruined my dishwasher and it ought to be taken off hhe market!!!!

Sickening Heavy Perfume!

Cleans well. But it has a really heavy and sweet smelling fragrance. It smells like someone broke a bottle of cheap perfume. I had to run the exhaust fan in the kitchen to try and get rid of the smell. I only used one of the three tablets. I love Cascade dishwashing pods. But I'll never use this product anymore.

Perfect product

Exellent for evereything and glass, but you put use high temp wash, Before, we were using Finish but with not perfect result. Maytag recommend cascade, I was beleve it was business, but now I know I't not.

Greatly Disappointed! Not as good as I remember.

Dishwasher still leaving white powder residue on dishes even after THREE cleaning attempts.

Too sudsy

I have used a couple of brands of dishwasher cleaner before but never Cascade. I used it as directed, put it in the main dispenser and ran a normal cycle. When it was finished, there were a lot of suds left in the dishwasher. Since you aren't supposed to use it along with dishes, and I don't have a wet/dry vac, I had to run a 1 hour cycle with no cleaner or detergent just to rinse the dishwasher. I won't be buying it again.
