Bluetooth Connectivity Issue

I ordered this for my SmokePro DLX24 in spite of the reviews about the Bluetooth hassles. Installation was pretty easy, considering that I'm more of a computer type than a handy type. Watching the installation video on YouTube a few times made it easy. I did have to go out and buy zip ties. Including 2 zip ties in the kit would be a good improvement since the instructions say to zip tie the wires where the ties were cut to do the installation. I got this a couple months ago after taking a chance on it regarding some of the more negative reviews, and I love it! Haven’t had any problems with connectivity or operation, and it’s very convenient to have!

Love my Camp Chef

Set up right away. Going to give it a 5 because I love my pellet grill from Camp Chef. I just know that this is going to allow me to add some serious smoke to my cooking. Keep up the good work Camp Chef. Only suggestion would be not to come out with new product right after I purchase an item, that is more than what I purchased. Have to smile at that one. Love my Camp Chef.

Great idea. Sketchy WiFi or app

Replaced my old controller that would turn off on its own. I was looking forward to this WiFi controller. The controller works great at the grill. The WiFi connection or the app does not work so great. Takes forever to connect. I like the fact that you can set any temp with different smoke levels.

Great Product

It was a perfect fit. Upgraded myself. Easy process.

Where's the smoke?

I like a lot of smoke...purchased this thing thinking smoke setting 10 would smoke enough that I could eliminate my need for smoke tubes..well, my old controller at "high smoke" smoked way more than this thing at smoke setting 10!! What a waste. Back to using my smoke tubes. The only "saving grace" is I can use my smart phone to check temps. Oh, well.

The WIFI/ Bluetooth is nice but the application need much improvement can’t change the temperature on the probes once you set it that’s it can’t be adjusted or changed

Easy update

I love my Woodwind grill! And this updated controller made it better. Easy to change over. Easy to adjust to the settings I want, and to control the level of smoke for a better result. And the wifi is nice when I can connect with my phone.

Distance a problem

Works good but has a limited range, so I need to be close to the grill for the app to operate. The app works great otherwise

Software problem

I love the general concept of this controller but, if something hiccups and it loses connection it’s lost for the rest of the cooking session, basically until the smoker is turned completely of and then restarted. This can be very inconvenient as shutdown and restart messes up the cooking process.

Made a big difference

One my favorite features of this new controller is the ability to check status remotely using a phone app, but I also appreciated the additional settings that allowed increased smoke at lower temperatures. I am somewhere between clueless and accomplished when it comes to electrical wiring, but I was able to install the new controller with no difficulty.

Better Temperature Control Comes To Camp Chef!

Long overdue. I jumped on this, as soon as I saw it. The temperature swings are a lot tighter: +/- 5 degrees. Still trying to figure out what temperatures to use with the smoke settings, as their is not any information included. The App needs work. Need to have some kind of cloud system, to be able to monitor the cooker when you are away from your wifi... similar to Thermoworks. Setting the temperature and or/smoke setting on the app gets frustrating, as well. If I change one, the other g...

WiFi Not Working with Phone App

Works fine on the smoker, but still haven't been able to get the WiFi to work with the phone app, very disappointing!

What a waste of money!

Wifi doesn't work. Keeps attempting to install the latest update, but fails everytime. My phone is connected via BT and I have a stronge network single, but nothing. I even placed a network extender closer to the grill and then even tried moving the grill closer to the primary network. Obviously, there are issues with this product. Why are they even shipping them without the most current firmware????????????

Bluetooth connection issues.

It works really good and is very convenient but the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting. That is the only problem I have with it. Other than that I really like it.

Great Thought, Bad Execution

Bought this retro fit WiFi controller for my SG pellet smoker. The new PID sensor works great, the WiFi doesn’t work. You think about it, WiFi antenna inside a metal box. They need to manufacture some sort of antenna that wires from the controller to the outside of the box. I have great WiFi and no mater where I put it, it doesn’t work.

High tech with ease

This is a nice addition to my grill. It was very easy to install and set up. I like that it walks through the steps and lets you choose temp and smoke levels in a simple manner. Temp probes work and WiFi is easy to use with the app as well.
