Poor Construction, Broke under Light Usage
Would Not RecommendI bought two of these about a year ago. Since then, I have built a couple of buildings, but mostly I am NOT using them. I picked one up the other day and at the 12' mark, I noticed that the metal was starting to shred, inexplicably. With one or two more measures, it had snapped completely. It's not longer easy to replace these at box stores. The quality of Craftsman seems to have dropped and so has their warranty. I am going to try other brands for a while.
Awkward to handle wearing gloves
Would Not RecommendCan not wear gloves to pull open the tape. End will not hook onto end of board. End will not latch onto anything to get a long measurement. Takes two people to take a long measurement.
