quit working after 15 min

bought it new. used the canned 50:1 fuel from Lowes. Ran it for 15 minutes. Unable to start after multiple repeated episodes. Took it to expert and they cannot start it either. My brother bought the same model and had exact same problem.

Good old craftsman - it just works

Started right up (after following the directions.) SOOOO happy I can use the attachments from my old craftsman edger (that I bought in 1998 and had for 20+ years before I switched to battery powered. BIG mistake and happy I was able to switch back to 2 stroke.) the carb was the reason my old one died so I might buy a backup carb while they are available. Not sure all these other people saying it doesn't start weren't using bad gas or some other issue.

A Work Horse

SE2200 has been working exceptionally well. Using it on Commercial property's and it takes a beating. Never skipped a beat.

Pandemic purchase

I have a professional landscape business. Three years ago during the pandemic, I needed to purchase/replace one of my blade edgers. Nothing available. What was available was double in price. Bad Buy

Had this weed eater for about a month and it already went out. Replaced carb and only used 50:50 since I bought it and it still went out again.

Crapsman se2200

Don't waist your money. In 2022, I got a se2200 as a Xmas gift. Used less than 10 times. Crap won't start. Put new carb on it, edger did start but would not run. Craftsman used to be a quality product. I learned a long time ago with a craftsman weed eater. Got a brand new 1 that's had a broken throttle. Made a great home for Dirt Daubers! I own x4 gas engine $tihl products. 1 is 11 ys old. They all start everytime. Don't waist your money on Crapsman!

"Craftsman" used to mean peace of mind!

Purchased this edger and used lightly one season. This year it will barely fire up or run. After getting "dismissed" by Lowes, we contacted Craftsman just to be sent to 3 different "warranty service people" and none were interested in working on our edger. Now stuck with a useless product after 1 year of a "2 yr warranty".

If you need clean fill, buy this

Piece of garbage

Won't start after several attempts

We used the edger 4 times last year. This season we have tried several times to get it running. It starts and shuts off immediately. Useless and very aggravating.

Shaft broke

I have loved Craftsman products in the past., but it now seems that every 4 years I am replacing mine. Started my edger/string trimmer yesterday, it started right up after the cold winter months, but when i put the edger attachment on the inside spinning shaft broke. The blade doesn't spin to edge so its worthless unless I can easily change that part. I would purchase just the edger attachment if possible, but notice I need to buy the entire unit with motor etc. Every 4 years... I purchased one ...

1 yr shaft broke

Purchased this 1/2022 and the shaft broke 3/2023. Craftsman quality is not what it used to be.

Spend extra money and buy something better

Just over 2 years and primer bulb already gone bad?!
