Plastic Guard Breaks Off
Would Not RecommendAwesome running little edger. Super easy to start. Runs great..! BUTT…. Plastic guard breaks off at pivot point Where bolts attach. Prematurely. Normal use/common. Rendering edger useless. Don’t bother to go looking for service. Craftsman Service went out of business two years ago. Just return edger back to store.
Use fresh gas don’t over use purge bulb.
Would RecommendRight out of the box I couldn’t get the first one to crank. Took it back to Lowe’s and one of their agents finally got it to crank. By the time I got it home, it had cooled down and wouldn’t restart. I boxed it up and took back to Lowe’s and they courteously exchanged it. This one cranked on third pull and ran fine. Would Not RecommendIn 2022 we purchased this gas edger with a blade. Within the first year’s warranty the edger would not crank/start therefore we had to ship our edger to Craftsman to replace the motor. We were hoping this was a one off because the Craftsman brand “used to mean” quality products. Unfortunately, we are just outside of the one year warranty and again, the edger doesn’t crank/start.
