Needed a replacement, works for what i need

Works good

So good, I bought it twice.

It's the easiest one I've been able to use and my first gas powered trimmer. A friend borrowed it and left out over the winter andbit siezed in the summer.

Dependable, clean cuts and the price was right.

We found it easy to handle, dependable and it cuts weeds and grasses cleanly. The protective shield is a plus, too.

Ran it 5 times and has not worked since

I purchased it 7/31/25, ran it 5 times and started to have issues. It would run for 5 minutes and then stop, then it would only run for approximately a minute and stop. Now I can't start it. Trying to get Craftsman to cover a warranty issue is extremely difficult. They only have one dealer they work with and it is approximately 1 hour away.

Item was a replacement for an identical one. Two year warranty old lasted two and one half. Offer was a percentage off if I signed up for a credit card which I did. Happy with the purchase.

Worst trimmer I've ever had.

The carb doesn't stay well. It had idle and throttle problems after the first season of light use. The quick feed head, yeah no. Worse thing ever. Least they could do is include a traditional one as a replacement (Your Going to need it!). You will begin winding your string and the one side or the other won't wind. Or it gets jammed ...I ended up thrashing it against a brick wall and tossing it far into the yard after Messi with it for 15 minutes. I got more use out of it breaking it into ...

1 year lifespan

I have bought two in the last 3 years. Never buying it again. Works great for about 12 months. Used the proper fuel, did all the right maintenance. Both started getting worse and worse until they wouldn't start. Do NOT get suckered by the low price. You are getting what you pay for.

Weed cutter that keeps my yard weeds from coming up and not spread crazy in the yard.

Bad Quality

I've bought two of these in the past 3 years and each have had the same issue, bad craftsmanship. The first was this exact model, which started to fall apart after a while due to loose screws. The engine literally fell off while I was using it. The second was a 4 cycle that had the same issue. I'm assuming due to vibration. After this one, safe to say I'm never buying anything Craftsman again. Upgraded to a Husqvarna.
