Craftsman still king of tools

Just purchased this for $59.00 on sale. Just took out a 30 year old bathroom vanity with this. Worked great. Definitely will be buying (as I have for years) Craftsman tools again. BTW, if within your 3 yr warranty it stops working, they will replace it with another one in stock! Not send it away for repairs. THAT is a good warranty.

Good saw for the price

I got this for simple jobs around the house and it works perfectly. Might not be the best for a pro job, but for the few times a year I need one this was a perfect match. That makes it a great value!

Wont hold the blades.

Bought this a week ago. I got to the job site this morning, and discovered that no matter what I do the blade will not stay in the saw. I tried several different brands I had on hand. Same results. Missed half a days work. Not happy. returning it ASAP

Workhorse

This saw is great. I have put it through a lot on a home remodel with no issues.

Blade won’t stay in the saw.

I used this to cut 8 studs out today and the blade came out of the saw on every stud. Will return this on my trip back to the store tomorrow.

Saw works great. 7.5 amp motor has enough power to do the jobs I’m using it for. Would buy it again.

Blade Clamp Fails

As others have said, the poor blade clamp design leads to the blade staying in the wood. I had to return this until as 3 of 4 4x4s held the blade & the saw didn't. Spend the extra $20 on the DeWalt 10amp with 4 way clamp design.

One small problem

While cutting through 2x4s, the bit would fall out mid cut and get stuck in the wood. Multiple times we would have to pull it out of the wood and reattach the bit. It was powerful enough for the job we were using it for, but just continued to have the bit fall out.

I had been looking at getting a reciprocating saw for a while. I will use it occasionally for home, not commercial or professional application. Therefore, I do not need the best of the best. I read reviews of many owners/users before I made my decision. I am very happy with the performance of this unit. It comes with one "wood" cutting blade. Saw

The chock that holds the blade tends to slip at times and the blade will subsequently fall out. I’m not sure if this is a safety design feature for when the blade gets stuck, but if it is, they missed the mark. The blade about took my eye out a few times now. It did cut what I needed it to though
