What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews, with some customers finding the extractors effective for simple removal tasks, while the majority reported issues with poor quality and performance. The main problems highlighted were that the extractors were made of weak metal that easily broke or stripped when used on tightly seized or stubborn fasteners. Many reviewers experienced the extractors snapping or shearing off inside the bolt or screw, causing further damage. While the range of sizes was appreciated by some, the overall consensus is that the product is not reliable or durable enough for most real-world applications.

Would Not RecommendDO not buy these they are horrible. Just the worse. Please heed the warnings.
Is this what Craftsman products have come to?
Would Not RecommendI bought these for work with the thought that would be a little more aggressive than the Irwin extractors. The very first time I pull them out of my tool box to use them to remove a 1/4 20 bolt that had broken off in a gear box that was made of cast aluminum it broke off with the slightest bit of torque and made the job that much more difficult. So then not only did I have to remove the already broken 1/4 20 bolt but a hardened extractor also.
Weak. Largest Extractor broke off
Would Not RecommendLargest one broke off while attempting to remove an oil fill plug on my UTV.
Do not use; they will snap under load
Would Not RecommendI used these to attempt to remove the broken test port on the fuel rail of my truck. Not only did it not extract the brass base of the valve, it snapped off and causes a bigger headache causing me to have to buy a new fuel rail. Do yourself a favor and buy the irwin/hansen set thats sold in thw store.
Just don't...
Would Not RecommendBroke inside the bolt as soon as torque was applied. Now I have to find a way to remove the extractor and the broken bolt.
Don’t Buy!
Would Not RecommendI bought this hoping I’d take out a flimsy screw... Wrong! The sec I gave it a tap, the tip broke off in the screw. Now I have a bigger problem!
Craftsman has changed for the worst
Would Not RecommendI drove 45 minutes to buy because Craftsman is my favorite brand for tools. I got home, excited to remove the broken head bolt. Now I have a broken head bolt and a broken extractor. Very little force snapped this. I would not recommend the Craftsman extractors to anyone. I wasted money, both for the set and gas money.

You’ll need an extractor for this extractor
Would Not RecommendMiddle size shattered instantly with little pressure (maybe 5ft lbs). Don’t bother. Left its remains inside the pilot hole drilled for it.
not that great
Would Not RecommendIt only works half of the time. Seems not to work when you really need the screw out.

Don't waste your money
Would Not RecommendI purchased this set so I could remove some stripped screws on several door hinges. The first one I used snapped in two. Went to the next one up, it also snapped. Went tried the next size up and although it backed the screw part way out, the end of it wore down and it wouldn't work on the next screw. Taking it back and going elsewhere to find something that works.
CRAFTSMAN 5-Pack Steel 5-in Screw Extractor Set
Would RecommendThose tools is great but unfortunate sae/metrice socket did not fit those extractor. Therefore we have to use wrench. I need long length like 6 or 8 inches. I could not find anywhere more than 6 inches long.

Removes broken screws
Would RecommendThese are the best way to remove screws or bolts that the head has broken off. Simply drill a pilot hole and twist the extractor in. The splines on the extractor are made so it twists in the way the screw will loosen.

Craftsman Extractor Set is Substandard
Would Not RecommendPurchased this set due to having broken off the head of one bolt and stripped another. Drilled for the extractor, put it in the hole, and SNAP--the extractor broke off. Tried again with the other bolt, using the largest extractor I could use for the bolt, and SNAP -- the extractor broke off. Craftsman had better increase the quality of the steel they use for this product.

This is piece of junk
Would Not RecommendHad the bolt drilled out, inserted the extractor and it broke off with very little pressure. It was like I was trying to use a tooth pick. Now I have to try a redrill the bolt. If this is what Craftsman has come to I would quit selling it if I was Lowes.
