What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews, with some customers finding the extractors effective for simple removal tasks, while the majority reported issues with poor quality and performance. The main problems highlighted were that the extractors were made of weak metal that easily broke or stripped when used on tightly seized or stubborn fasteners. Many reviewers experienced the extractors snapping or shearing off inside the bolt or screw, causing further damage. While the range of sizes was appreciated by some, the overall consensus is that the product is not reliable or durable enough for most real-world applications.

Would RecommendI haven't extracted many bolts but the one I used with this set made me understand the concept of bolt extraction. Logically, the force required to remove the bolt has to be less than the force the extractor snaps at, in my case the latter was greater resulting in a broken extractor. This set will work good so long as the bolt is not super tight and the smaller the extractor used the less tight the bolt has to be. The twisting torque used to remove a super tight bolt is too much for the small bi...

Broke while using just like others said
Would Not RecommendI wanted these to work, I had hoped they woukd work, but alas they did not. Broke at the tip leaving the screw and tip unaccesible. Well guess I wasted $10.00
TRASH
Would Not RecommendAbsolute trash. Brake way too easily. I have used easy outs before, these are garbage. Buy anything else.

Terrible extractors
Would Not RecommendBroke way too easily. I use extractors a lot (a few different kinds) in air craft maintenance and have never had a problem but these ones are made with such cheap metal that 2 of them literally just from using them how they were intended to be used, they sheared right off as I was trying to turn them in the fastener with a crescent wrench.

Sizes of the tools
The listed sizes refer to the head of the bolt or screw you may need to remove NOT the size of shaft needing extracted.by the tools themselves. Buyer beware these are small.
Wasn’t able to get the broken bolt out. Looks like I get to drill

Low quality product, did bot work
This is a low quality product. On the first attemp to remove a screw, the bit broke as soon as it grabbed the stripped screw head. Bought a different brand that comes with a reverse drill bit and it worked great, and no damage to the bit. I do not recommend the Crafstman product. “Grab” something else.

Why I Don’t Care If One Breaks!!!!
Would RecommendFirst off extractors are going to break I never had any that didn’t. Your twisting hardened steel which doesn’t want to be twisted. Hardens steel is brittle but it must be hardens to bite into the bolt. Second if you don’t have the proper tool to hold one you’ll probably break it straight off. That said I used one to extract about 10 bolts on a motorcycle I’m restoring. Then it broke, bummer. Took the broken bits put them back in the case went to Lowe’s and they gave me a new set. Small, complete, inexpensive
Would RecommendNeeded an easy-out for a broken screw. Borrowed a 6 piece (container plus 5 tools) Craftsman set from a friend, liked it so much I bought one for my tool kit. The range of sizes was perfect, from 1/8" to 3/4" screws/studs and the size range marked clearly on the package for both metric and SAE. Instructions on the packaging are clear and easy.
