Very small but does a pretty good job. Hard to hold steady so best if you can lay it down to measure.

Compact Device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this purchase. It is compact, lightweight, and very accurate. It works great for small to medium sized projects when you need a quick measurement while planning. It worked exactly as I anticipated.

Works like it should

Not fancy but works great. Very small can carry in your pocket

works good inside ,low light , when outside building a project it would not pick up the measurement, took inside worked fine back outside same thing ,so its fine if you just have inside projects .

Great Little Unit

The overall size is 2 3/8" high, 1 1/4" wide, and 5/8" deep. It comes with a wrist strap that took a bit to get it connected. It is accurate as I tried it with a tape measure at 11' 8" and this measured the same distance. It has an internal USB rechargeable battery with a battery level on the screen. I think this will be very useful for quick measurements.

This is a good tool for a home appraiser or anyone that needs quick numbers for room dimensions.

No directions for use!

I bought this today and loved the size and simplicity of it. However, I want a simple device to give me the length of a room. There are no directions! I can't figure out what those pictures me. Then I looked it up on line, thinking I could find directions--No! I am very frustrated! If you would send me written directions for using this product, I would be satisfied!

Had a quick remodel and it's hard to use a measuring tape due to back problems and this was a life saver!

CRAFTSMAN 40-ft Laser Distance Measurer

It is alright as far as giving you a rough idea for tall ceilings or if you don't have someone to help you measure a large room. It's fairly accurate to about a 1/2 of an inch. The only thing was that sometimes when I used it to measure twice, it would give me two different measurements, but for the price, you get what you get. I would go with a better model if you need precise measurements. FYI... It does make for a fun kitty toy!

Poor design

I found the instructions hidden in the packing material. It use the same button for all functions. Makes it difficult to switch between different units. It seems to have a minimum distance of 12 inches. Distances are measured from the back of the unit.I had some trouble with its small size and my clumsy hands.

Just had to have this gadget..

Seems to work decently. I'm not sure how accurate it is. I prefer an actual tape over this, but, if anything.. it's a fun toy! Would come in handy while stuck in a drive thru, etc.. You could sit and measure all the things as you wait for a time killer! ha!

The laser distance measure makes the job a lot easier than having to fumble with your tape measure.

I would have given it a 5 star rating but it is a little difficult to use outdoors in the bright sunlight. Indoors it works great and it's very accurate for what I need it for. I mainly use it to measure rooms so that we will know if furniture will fit. I've tested it for accuracy and it's spot on, but I don't need that much accuracy. It's small, easy to use, and get the job done.

Keep one in your pocket

Lasers are becoming ubiquitous in the trades for leveling and distance calculation. This one is small, lightweight, accurate and rechargeable through a USB port. Great little tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this to measure for crown molding and to install some vinyl siding it so super accurate the only problem I have with it is it’s hard to see the fractions they are so small wish it had some kind of back light but for long measurements my your self you can not beat this little thing
