Worked for the things I needed, ran my heater, charged what I need. Little loud, but rather hear a little noise to stay warm

Good Little Generator

Light enough for one person to lift and move. Started up easily and capable of powering tools and other items needed. you do have to remove the cover to access the fuel/oil fills but it's not difficult and the tools are provided.

Would not recomend

Ran great first 3 days and then would not start

I originally thought this was a good generator, 5 months later I regret the purchase. I purchased two of these at the same time. One only ran with the gas cap loose, the other had a surging issue. You are not dealing with Craftsman or a Craftsman warranty. If you call Craftsman you get directed to Generac and if they tell you to take it to an authorized dealer be aware that you may get stuck with the repair bill. Fuel Efficient Powerhouse, quiet and reliable.

We dry camp in our RV all the time. My 8KW generator drinks about 1.25 gallons per hour when using normal house features (Not running ACs or high draw appliances like microwaves or electric griddles). I use the Gen for about 5 hours per day when out in nature - about 6.25 gallon per day, so a week in the woods burns about 35 gallons (about $220 in current CA gas prices). Excellent

Super easy to start every time. I have hundreds of hours on it running a cabin with lights, refrigerator, and use to charge batteries when solar is less than ideal. A bit unwieldy but portable for sure. Very happy with my purchase.

Carbon detector stopped worked after 5 days

Didn't even last 5 days. Same carbon detector problem i had with my last one. Will no longer start. These carbon detectors are the bane of my existence. I need to go back to ryobe that generator lasted 4 years now im replacing these trash ones every 6 months and in this case 5 days…

Not loud at all

Check your oil after 8-10 hrs.

After filing oil, fuel, one pull to start. Power outage for 22 hrs. Had no problems switching between fridge and freezer.

Returned item sold as new

Bought this last minute with storm coming.Box looked ok but when i opened it i found out it must have been a return because there was already oil put in the engine.I didnt want to return it because the storm had begun so i put gas in and it ran fine.My point is that it was a returned item and should have been labeled as such.Maybe discounted also.oh well it seems ok.
