great, fun project for a young kid

very good product. with the weight of coins, the kit should include glue for rigidity and longevity.

Boo Lowes...

My kids attend the in-store workshops frequently and received this item as a gift...complete disappointment the kit did not come with the iron-on patch...boo Lowes...boo.

Little builders

The kids loved getting these for Christmas and building them. They were fairly easy to build for them.

This was a fun functional activity for my son to do with his dad.

Simple Project

This simple project was fun for my girlfriend's 12yr old son. Only issue is the included nails tough for kid to hammer in.

Great Bonding time

These kits are great for parents to do with kids, if not able to make it too or get into Saturday classes. It was a wonderful surprise to find these and be able to complete these with our son.

I would not recommend buying this

nothing lined up on this craft . I bought two and neither of them was made right. the nail holes didn't match nor did the slots. but after much trimming and drilling we got It together

Fun for my son...

Bought this for my son for Christmas. It was a fun project to put together with him. It is what it is and I wouldn't call it durable but fun.

Poor quality and missing parts

Item was missing parts and the quality did not match the one bought a couple of years ago

Maybe it was me, but...

I bought this for my 7 yr old son. We excitedly brought it home and began the assembly. Really you only have to hammer in 8-10 nails but it's exciting nonetheless. All was all going well until we had to line up the slots for the coins and couldn't get the slots to line up. I looked at it 5 different times and could not get it to work. It would be one thing if this was my first problem with one of these, but we've had issues with other of these kits. All in all, the kits are fun, but the quality ...

The bank was hard for my son to hold and put together. He is nine. He got frustrated with it and I ended up doing it.

Good idea, bad execution

The size of the quarters section is too small if built according to the instructions. After my 7 year old daughter and I built this, I had to take the whole thing apart and flip the back around to get the quarters to fit. It was either that or put the quarters in the pennies slot. So the design was bad, but my daughter loved putting it together, and I have high hopes for the other Build and Grow products.

fun little project

bought this for my 5 year old who needed help with the tiny nails and hammering obviously, but he loved it and we love that it encourages him to save his coins.

Nice toy for the kids. Keep some glue handy when building though.

Fun project to do with kids

Great to do with grandkids (or kids). Instructions NOT clear. Read thoroughly FIRST and then MATCH up pieces to see how to assemble. Had to do twice because did not tell me how to fully line up pieces (no warnings about goofs). I am NOT a novice woodworker, but this kit could use some clearer instructions. Would be nice to purchase paints from Lowe's as well, but had to go to craft store to buy paints to finish product. Overall , great time, Gave some good information on the history of banks etc...

product flaw

my son really liked this project, but when we got to the end to put in the clear plastic piece to show how much money you have, the lines do not line up with the coins. the penny slot says 5 pennies, but is actually only 2 pennies, the lines do not match the amount of money inserted.

Fun projects to work with a child on

Overall good product. Would suggest that back of parts be marked to assist in assembly.

not a good purchase

I wanted a good educational tool for my 2 girls to learn to count their money. The money lines dont line up at all and the quaters dont in their slot. I spent $7.98 each and felt like I didnt spend my money wisely:(. The girls did enjoy putting them together and compared to the golf sets we got and put together these were much much easier. Over all we got a nice family moment but not the educational tool I was wanting.
