Wood Coin Bank

I got this for my grandson's eighth birthday. We unpackaged it and built it together with him driving the small nails with a small hammer that I had. It went quick and easy and he was very proud of his accomplishment. The finished bank has a transparent plastic front which tells how much money the coins add up to. It was a nice material present to go along with the cash I also gave him.

Coin Bank

This is a great gift for a young child and it provided them the opportunity to use their hands to build something. It's a hands-on activity that both the child and parent enjoy together. They feel a great sense of accomplishment when it's completed and this kit also teaches them math skills.

This product was easy to assemble. I took it into work and I got comments on it. I even had people putting coins in it! I think anyone can assemble it too.

I love Build and Grow kits

Me and my son love the Build and Grow kits. He's three. They have pre-drilled holes and the instructions are well detailed. This kit had one small flaw (hence the 4 stars). The coin sizes are a little big, so sometimes your change flips or gets stuck. All in all, another great Saturday morning project. PS... BRING BACK THE BUILD AND GROW CLINICS!!!

Make it yourself coin bank

Bought this for my grandson who just turned 6. Also purchased a small hammer for him - the hammer being the only tool necessary to assemble the bank. He loved it! He and his 8 year old brother put it together in no time. I also gave him a little cup of change and as soon as he got it together he put the change inside. This bank was a big hit with him and would be great for all children just learning to use tools.

Fun to Build

The kit is easy to build. The slide in pieces fit perfectly. The numbers on the window are very easy to read. I recommend this kit.

I am a master cabinet builder so I do know a bit about woodworking. I bought this project for my 8 yr old grandson. He followed the instructions and quickly noticed an error with the 1st instruction. It says to insert 4 nails in the proper holes but as the picture on the instruction sheet shows there are only three holes and there were actually only three pre-drilled holes on the wood bottom. Excellent

This was for my 5 year old granddaughter to make over Christmas. She put the parts together, and I held them in place as she nailed it together. Very well made and easy to complete. She had a great time and was very proud of what she had made. She is already saving coins (with a little start from us). Good way to help teach a small child the value of coins.

Deceptively tricky first step... here's the fix.

This project either works or fails when the very first nail is driven in. The side pieces are fairly easy to distinguish and orient. The real secret is figuring out which side of the bottom piece is the left and the right. Guess wrong here and the slots will not line up in the final steps! The trick: tape the pieces together with masking tape for a "dry fit". This will extend the child's learning and they can help tape. Fun with my great grandson

I bought this for my five year old great grandson. At five I lot of children don't have the patience to lay outside a project, cut it and assemble it. This project is cut, nail holes are pried rolled. I also bought him a small child's hammer from the same section. With this kit and his little hammer he drove every nail.
