beautiful floor, easy to install

floor is very nice and extremely easy to install. I wonder about its durability, as the layer of hardwood is thin and the core is composite that (I assume) would not be particularly resistant to moisture. So, install in dry areas only!

Good Value, Looks good 9yrs in

I had this flooring installed 9 years ago. It still looks good and I am buying more now to use it in more rooms. The wood has aged to a nice golden patina. It does darken when you have a water spill. I have had several water cooler and plant watering floods over the years. The area that gets direct sun has cracking in its clear coat (only where I have repeatedly gotten it wet) but the boards are not warped. A nice find

I was looking to do some spot repairs for a glue-down floor installed about 25 years ago. This was a good match (with modifications to make it fit) and it was easy to do the pickup at my local Lowe's.

Does not match sample

The sample provided in store was a 5-ply flooring with a 2mm veneer. The floors that were delivered were at most a 1mm veneer on an mdf core. I gave it more than 1 star because it did look nice and a couple trial pieces did click together easily. The The return process was simple.

Looks great, but doesn’t hold up

I just purchased this flooring to put on my main floor which includes my kitchen, dining, and living room. Installation was rather easy after we got the hang of it and we are total DIY newbies. Took about 4 days to do 800 sq feet. We also liked that we could find transitions pieces and stair mountings in an exact match. Buyer Beware Very Random Colors

This is so hard to make a nice matching floor out of that I would give this negative stars if I could. The only good thing about it is the click and lock hardly requires the hammer and pull bar. The color variation in the boxes is insane. Every color from palest blonde to red to dark brown and the shades in between. it is not as pictured at all. My mom had to purchase at least double what she needed in order to get enough boards in the same shade to make a nice floor. This also doesn't take into...

Buyer Beware Very Random

The click and lock is very nice which is the only reason this gets a one star review. I had to buy double the amount of boards I needed just to come up with a semi decent floor. Every box has such a random variety of shades and patterns and even sizes that it is exceedingly difficult to put together a nice looking floor. photos attached for example sake. 30+ boxes from super blonde to pink to very dark brown and everything in between. The actual product DOES NOT look like the sample in the store. Very disappointed with the lock. The core and the lock are made of MDF not HARDWOOD. The lock on pieces coming out of the boxes were broken. I purchased 450+ sq ft.

Not the same as the sample

The sample that was obtained from the store was comprised of layers of wood much like plywood. After receiving 27 boxes, the contents had a top and bottom layer of wood; however, the main structure is something akin to a fiber board. The product.appearance is satisfactory, but there are many knots or other imperfections apparent. Hopefully this produce will perform up to expectations of a 25 year warranty.

Inferior product

A year and a half ago I purchased this product and it was made with all hardwood. Now this item is made with recycled cardboard material or similar paper product with a miniscule layer of hardwood appx. 1/32" on the top and bottom to give the appearance of wood... As usual companies are cutting corners at the expense of the consumer... I returned this product and am seeking out a better alternative...

pros and cons

PROS:These look very pretty installed and have a very natural wood look, with plenty of grain and color variations. Length has a nice variety for seamless, random look. Great price. Very easy to install. CONS Since there is no glue, the flooring tends to lift- not remain seated. Takes a bit of tapping to get the tongue/groove slots to click into place. Assembly of this product was perfect. I found only 1 piece in 200 with a small imperfection that could not be used.

Style Select 3” Natural Oak Flooring

Love the natural look of each board! However, cannot give 5 stars due to installation. Some boards are damaged, T&G needs to be lightly sanded, and is difficult to space evenly because of the random lengths given.
