Great printer for multiple needs

Great printer. I use it to print labels for greenhouse pots. It is able to handle the heavy, glossy blank labels. The ink system is great. Cartridges life is good. Scanning is great. Prints documents fast and high quality.

Nice!

This is a physically big machine with equally big performance. Prints, scans and copies surprisingly fast. Super fast and easy to install. Large ink reservoir is just another plus. Totally impressed.

Well built and so far a very solid fit in my home office. Much quieter than old one we had.

Constant head cleaning which burns through the cartridges($$$) and crooked prints with paper jams.

MFC-J6555DW printer

I purchased this printer to replace a previous smaller brother printer that we liked. My wife is a teacher and has to print a lot of documents for her classes and I decided we need something a little more robust. So far, a few months I guess, this printer has been great. It was easy to setup and it's fast. Very happy so far even though we haven't used all the features. We will see how the ink consumption goes.

Print lines are distorted. fast and quiet though and streamilined.

seems to work okay but not sure about longevity, was not that easy to get started, some of the scans come out crooked and I have to retake

Great printer

Great printer. Only wish there was a printed full instruction book that came with it. And not get it online. Used up half of ink supply to print it out.

Always some kind of problem printing

Nothing but problem after problem with this printer, especially when printing 11x17. Unable to print via wifi half the time, so connect with network cable. Have it set up for auto select and even though Tray 2 is set up for 11x17 it tells me the MP tray is empty. I finally punched the screen and threw it in the garbage.

New out of the box, the print heads have to be cleaned (run testinig diagnostics) just about every 3rd day or so.

BUYER BEWARE: NO DOUBLE SIDED SCAN CAPABILITIES!

Unlike all their previous models you cannot double sided scan or copy with this machine, making it functionally useless for scanning purposes. WHAT IS THE POINT when everyone prints double sided these days?

Streaks and missing lines

This is our second Brother printer. With the first, we were constantly having to clean the printer heads due to streaks and missing lines, but since we had had that one for several years, assumed it was just old and needed to be replaced. We really liked that one when we first bought it, so we replaced it with the same model. The second one started the same problem within a month of owning it. We are now back to having to clean the printer heads once or twice a week sometimes due to the stre...

WiFi troubles

The printing works just fine. I am very frustrating this machine because it will not stay connected to my WiFi and I am constantly having to retype my WiFi password to print anything. My old HP printer never did this. Otherwise I have no complaints about this machine.

Good Copies Fast

First, it was easy to set up and get going. I love the flexibility to use many different sizes of paper upto and including 11"x17". For being able to print such a large format, the printer is relatively compact. The ink cartridges are much larger than what I was using. Also, with only 4 different cartridges, the color is fantastic. The speed of printing is also great.
