Very good as a stand-alone fax machine

LCD window on this newer model fax machine is extremely difficult to read, even after making contrast adjustments. The LCD window on our 16-year-old Brothers fax machine was excellent and I fully expected a new machine model would be better, not worse. Otherwise, printing quality is very good. We use this on a dedicated fax line just for sending/receiving faxes as we have several other printers connected to our computers for printing and copying. Professional machine that will last a long time. Believe it or not I still use fax technology. The Brother Inteelifax is the one for me. Get one while supplies last.

Dont waste your money

We bought this to replace anothe Brother Fax. This would not work. Just kept ringing. Sits in a corner.

Love the Fax Machine. I works great. I just wish the screen fax screen had a back light. Its hard to see the activity on the screen.

Uses toner very quickly

I just put in a toner cartridge 3 wks. ago and the pages are printing very lightly already. I feel like it did not go very far.

Easy to Use

The product comes with good features and is very easy to use. It started giving transmission problems but was replaced by Brother even two months after the warranty had expired. Thanks for Brother Staff especially to Richard.

Great Product

I purchased this for my husband, whose ancient Brother FAX finally gave out. This one exceeded our expectations, from ease of setting it up (I'm 84 and no tekkie) to how user friendly and high quality its features are. Husband still in business, and during this pandemic, it has gotten lots of use. Thank you, Brother.

The print and scan works very fast, the fax works great and you don't need a second phone line. The only thing missing is WI-FI

Fast laser printer

I love the way it turns on fast and it goes to sleep when I forget to turn it off. I wish it had a scanner in it but I just had to get a portable one.

Brother IntelliFax 2840 is a GREAT addition to this office. I only hope this will last as long as my prior machine which faxed over 10,000 faxes to the VA in 3 years. I understand normal wear and tear is evident.
