Would Not RecommendAs configured, this kit does not work for model 688 with an A mounting plate. The mounting studs are backwards. They should extend in the same direction as the fan shaft. Almost as if someone assembled it backwards. Reversing the studs requires a Torx, which I don't have. Returning it. I have seen similar products for sale that include the mounting plate for very near the same price. Not a slam dunk replacement.
You can replace it yourself and save $200 labor.

Works, but it's weak
Would RecommendDoesn't move nearly as much air as the fan I replaced, I even swapped out the included fan blades with the ones from the old unit and the improvement was marginal at best. I'm currently hunting a higher speed replacement, but this will replace a dead fan motor with a functional unit. I've got a small bathroom and it doesn't remove enough moisture to prevent condensation, though.
