Costs more than the whole exhaust fan assembly

You can buy this motor for $31.95 or buy the whole exhaust fan assembly for $21.95, pull the motor out of it, and toss the rest in the landfill. Please have common sense and price this appropriately.

Quality quiet fan, but the shaft hit the top of the NuTone box and fortunately I have a bench grinder and could take 3/16 off and it worked fine, just take the impeller off first since it will get hot...

cheap screws

Broan's manufacturer must have swapped the old bolts for cheap Allen head screws that strip easily. You need to remove them to mount properly with the motor on one side and the blades on the other side of the mounting plate. Otherwise you cannot put the cover back on flush with the ceiling. I will keep trying but I will go with a different brand the next time an exhausts motor goes out. Companies need to spend a little on quality assurance sheesh!.

Powder Room Fan Motor Replacement

The motor was more directly what I needed to replace. Other fan options included parts I really did not need. The blower wheel is actually plastic, not metal, and that's OK.

Easy to install

I've read reviews stating impeller blades needed to be cut. The mounting bracket contains multiple holes that align with the motor but if you use the wrong set the impeller blades won't set in properly. Recommend marking the holes when removing the motor. Very easy to install

Same form, fit, and function.

It works great as a replacement for the older model, which was approximately 23 years old. It is the same form, fit, and function. The only real difference is that the plug assembly is wired on the opposite side as the older model, so I did have to rotate it 180 degrees to allow the plug to reach.

Old Emerson fan seized up and replacement parts are virtually non-existent but, fortunately, after comparing dimensions and mounting holes this works as replacement. Only minor issues are the gap behind the center bolt to screw in the cover so either use tape to hold in place or a plug to fill the gap so it doesn't recede but I ended up using gravity.
