Would RecommendThis does a nice job of cutting, but I had to replace the first one I had with a new one as the blade chipped off when I used it to cut schedule 40 PVC. The design in great, but the cutting blade has weak points.

Would Not RecommendI purchased this less than a year ago and have used it 4-5 times. This week, I cut a 2.5 inch pvc pipe and it broke. It no longer closes and is completely useless. The pipe was old and hard but the tool should not have failed.

I needed to replace some pool plumbing that was 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC. It used to maybe for about 10 cuts, then it started to jam and the finally stuck half way on a cut. Would RecommendDevice works well. Deflects a bit on larger diameter PVC bit if yo go slowly, it still cuts well. Safe operator and stays closed after cutting.
