Would RecommendThis tool literally cut my Pex water lines in under thirty seconds. Has a great press and click gradual cutting mechanism. Helps you guide a straight cut and cuts easily. The blade release was a little tricky at first, but is a spring loaded release. It's actually a really nice safety feature. Do not use on PVC drain pipe. I tried, because it does fit nicely in the tool. It cracked my PVC and did not provide a good cut. I don't think it was meant to cut it anyways, I just figured I'd try it firs...

Would RecommendThe cutter I had was old and I needed a new one. This one consistently cuts straight, which was my main requirement. The ratchet system is nice, too. I dont have to muscle the last little bit. Since you dont have to muscle it, it is easy to keep everything square. The blade might not be super-long-lasting as it is still only an 11$ item, so you may not want to cut the thanksgiving turkey with it.
