Easy to use

I was really happy with how easy the cutter was to use. It slices through pvc pipe very easily. I liked the ratcheting function and it helped with the last second readjustment to get the cuts just right.

Great Product

I have been cutting PVC pipe for years with a hacksaw--what a pain! I finally decided to buy this PVC cutter, since I was about to cut dozens of lengths of PVC and didn't want to go through cutting with a hacksaw. What a difference! Cuts like through butter and the cuts are smooth. I am kicking myself for not spending $13 years ago. The only problem I had was with thinner walled 1-inch PVC--it smashed it slightly and left a crimp that made it hard to slide it into the fitting. As long as it is C...

Easy to use

Cutter was easy to use and made even smooth cut. Only had one cut to make, so long time reliability is yet to be determined.

First time User

I have always used a hacksaw or something similar. I am really pleased with the ease of use and accurate and smooth cuts this makes.

over priced

Only bought to cut plastic water lines. Was recommended by a lowes employee of course. Got home and used. Realized how cheaply made this product was. Will not listen to a lowes employee again. I belive they should have training or prior experience. Would not recommend this purchase.

Darling where have you been all my life?!?!

I've been hacking up PVC pipe with a hack saw for years. Spending time de-burring it, swearing when it's never quite straight. I saw these hanging on the wall, and having to make over 50 cuts, figured that $12 was worth the investment. Best $12.00 I've ever spent. Work great, nice clean cut, quick, straight. These are the lower end tools, so I wouldn't expect the to last in commercial use, but for home plumbers/projects they are great!

The best way to cut PVC, period.

Faster and easier than using a hacksaw. Quieter and more portable than using a miter saw. Makes clean, straight cuts with no burrs to file or leftover cuttings to clean up.

Quality at a Good Price

I've used this for cutting several pipe sections (PEX and Polybutylene) without any issues. The ratcheting cutter is nice as is the easy-open feature of the jaws.

Works Well on PEX Tubing

I haven't had a chance to try it out on PVC pipe, but it cuts through PEX like a hot knife in butter and makes a very clean cut. I'm not sure it would stand up to heavy commercial use, but it seems to be a good value buy for a DIY homeowner.
